Very friendly employees, sub was prepared very well just as I asked. (Which was with very little toppings and only half of one piece of the veggie patty)
The only reason I give this a low rating is because the sun shines directly in the seating and serving area.
I would quit working there if I had to face the direct sunlight all day like that. It’s very uncomfortable for me to dine in and I’m sure it’s very unpleasant for the employees. I will not return here until I see that they did something to make it comfortable to eat there. I couldn’t even enjoy my meal. What a terrible experience.

The food portions have been small most of the times I've ordered there. I have been unable to get a coupon code to work at that location lately.

It was 8:30 pm on 08/18/2025. Door says closing time is 9:00pm. I don't understand why the door was already locked. Poor service and laziness. Zero stars.

Upon arrival at 7:50 pm, the lobby was again closed (pretty common for this store it seems). Normally we just go someplace else because the drive thru is horrible. Had to repeat the order multiple times and when we got home after paying $29.00 for 2 sandwiches… the above picture is what we got and didn’t even get the sauces on the side that we asked for. I would be ashamed if this was a product that I gave to someone.
Note- If your business hours say that your open till x:xx o’clock- you need to be open till that time and only close your doors at that time. Clean up is to be done after closing time. From what we saw, it looked like like at least two employees and possibly a third employee that was sitting in the lobby on their phone. Not acceptable.

The lady that put my sandwich together touched money, then started to finish my meal. I asked her to wash her hands after handling money, and she spent less than 5 seconds washing them. I will not be coming back here, and I usually come here weekly.

Subs were great , we didn't get the young man's name that was working but he was very friendly and very fast service

This isn't the employees fault. 1 person working drive thru and store and she was completely overwhelmed. Needless to say our order was butchered. Wrong ingredients on sandwiches, bread was hard and tasted a week old. We called manager and they replaced order. Went to pick up and 1 person working by themselves, 2 people in front of me. Waited 20 mins, got our food and there was a fly in the lettuce on one of our sandwiches. Bread was hard and stale once again. The fast food in Monterey is atrocious and just added another one to the DO NOT EAT! list.

Subway...the highest priced sub with rotten or frozen vegetables and unclean containers. Ever had frozen tomatoes after they've thawed? Obviously the local health and food inspector doesn't do his/her job

I've tried this place a few times now. Service is trash. They do not get your orders right more often then not. They have 1 or 2 good workers that do everything, while the other drugged out employees walk in circles. You can communicate effectively and still get your order wrong everytime.
