Staff was polite, professional and answered all of our questions pertaining to the drink menu and food menu.

Bar: Full bar with house cocktails and tons of TV's to watch a sports game.

Meal: Bourban Braised Beef Roast w/ Multi-colored carrots, brocoolini and mashed potatoes w/ brown bourban gravy.
Addons: Corn Gritts.

Protein: The Beef was tender, juicy and hardy. In my opnion it needed more flavor but overall I was satisfied with the protein portion of this meal.
Mashed Potatoes: Smooth, tastey and paired very well with the gravy.
Carrots: My carrots had little to no flavor and some of them were still raw when my food arived.
Brocoolini: Arrived Raw w/no flavor.
Corn Gritts: The flavor of these grits were spot on, but my gritts arrived cold and undercooked.

We had the most incredible dinner at Barrel House Restaurant. The atmosphere was great, and we were blown away by the food. I ordered the roast beef, and my friend ordered the salmon, and we both agreed it was the best we've ever had. We'll be dreaming about this meal for a long, long time. I revered a party of 10 here and called to reserve over the phone and the girl was very unhelpful and said I had to reserve online because that required a 75$ deposit which I might add is absolutely astronomical for a local spot, considering places on Broadway only charge 25-50$ max! I paid it anyways thinking it’d be worth it to have a birthday party here. The service wasn’t bad but also wasn’t the greatest and same with the food. I wasn’t impressed with either. I then got the bill and there was a 10$ fee to bring our OWN cake! There server did not cut, store, or serve! We had to ask for plates and silverware for it. Which for a 10$ fee you’d expect all this to be done. When I addresses it to a manager she was the rudest manager/bartender I’ve ever met. I’ve worked in the restaurant business as a sever, bartender for over 15 years and never once have been charged or charged someone any amount to bring their own cake to celebrate a birthday. Most places provide a free dessert. But not here. They charge you.

BHR looks small from the outside but it’s quite a lovely space and atmosphere inside. My friend picked this place for a dinner and we had a great time with the menu. The hummus appetizer glazed with honey and some crushed or crunchy peanut was so delicious. I don’t drink alcohol so I requested for a drink without alc and I got the mock tail which was great 👍.

Our waitress was very busy to attend to us when we wanted her, but she was nice and cautious. I told my husband about this place and I’ll be visiting with my family for a dinner anytime soon.

Our server was very pleasant but the food left a bit to be desired. I ordered the quesadilla & a side salad. The sweet potatoes inside the quesadilla was all mush without much flavor. My separate Side salad came on the same plate, was all arugula lettuce & had pico dumped all over it. My husband’s strawberry salad looked great! Made with all Romaine lettuce & the lady next to us was delivered her side sale before her dinner, also made with romaine lettuce, no arugula. My husband’s strawberry salad enjoyed his meal but we will not be back.

We tried to eat here on a Saturday at 12:30 and unfortunately the service was awful. A 30 minute wait in an empty restaurant is unacceptable. We ended up leaving and going to sonic.

I'm sorry my husband & myself didn't care for the food at all. One of the items I had was the fried green tomatoes. They were not hot & I hated that red pepper jam on top & didn't care for the pimento cheese along side of it. We had other items as well & didn't care for them. Not to mention its a bit pricey so therefore i expect the food to be great. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR SERVER. He was very sweet & helpful. Also great atmosphere.

Everything was 10/10 from beginning to end! Luis provided great service, drinks were perfect, and food was delicious. We will definitely be back!
