Stopped in for a snack & drink to kill time before next appt. Decided against a margarita when waiter said it was $12. Cheapest drink tomake!! Everything on menu was dinners. I didn't want that much, tried to order plain taco off kids menu. That caused a scene, said I couldn't order off kids menu. Waiter sent the rude manager. Very unprofessional, said I would have to pay for my free chips & salsa. I wound up with a $6.31 bill for a coke & free chips & salsa!!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone & I certainly won't ever be back for sure. All this because I tried to order a plain taco!!!!!!!

While the food was good and obviously prepared fresh, and although more authentic than what you may find at 99% of the area Mexican restaurants, they have some serious obstacles to overcome. Examples: The menu is very limited. And while that might be a concern, the portions are meager at best and very non competively priced especially considering what you get. A very small wooden bowl sparcely filled with chips and a small bottle of salsa was surprising. But moreover the menu starting there would be a charge of $1.50 for more than one serving. An order for a street taco while tasty was $4 but came with nothing else. While this may be okay for an add on type thing it would make more sense from both a marketing and sales aspect to offer a plate with 2 st. tacos and a side of rice or beans for $9.95 rather than it be Ala carte and charge $2 or $3 for a side. The whole menu and environment (i.e. Poorly illuminated, Skulls/muertos and a chunk of a wall section with assorted cruifixes, etc. ) all needs serious reevaluation and overhaul. Unfortunately we couldn't recommend going back under such circumstances.

Everything about Memo's is on point! We've always had such an awesome experience with exceptionally delicious and fresh food. It's by far the best authentic Mexican food we've ever had! The cocktails are uniquely created and always refreshing. The restaurant is clean with a welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. Try it, you won't regret your visit! They rock it every time we do! Can't wait until next time!

Server was friendly, attentive and food came fast. If you're wanting authentic dishes, this is probably for you. For the money however in our experience, portions were very small. my husband got chicken fajitas and I got hurraches. We almost always are able to take home enough food to eat for dinner, but not this time. I also noticed the floor looked as if it hadn't been mopped in awhile and bathroom facilities needed updating. my stall door had a broken lock. The other stall toilet had a permanent dark ring in the bowl and just overall felt dark, dank and like an old dungeon.

The absolute best birria tacos I've tasted so far. The consomé wasn't the clear greasy cup of broth I've had at other area restaurants. The food tasted healthy which is also unique since the other restaurants left me with indigestion after consumption. One disappointment was their deconstructed "guacamole". To me, it was nothing more than pico de gallo with added avocado like my wife makes, but overpriced. I would have definitely preferred traditional creamy guacamole instead, so most likely I won't be ordering this again as it was nearly the cost of the delicious birrias. I will return at some point to try some of the other menu options since everything looks delicious. As for the staff, the waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the food they served. She gave us a little backstory of the business and Memo's vision for quality food made from locally sourced ingredients. As for the physical location, it was clean, uncluttered, and quiet during the early hours we went. This is definitely not the average Mexican restaurant that once occupied this space and I am definitely pleased for that. Now that Lent is over, I can't wait to feast the meat again and this a the place I've been waiting to return to eat again.

My family and I have tried Memos twice. Each time the queso has been gritty, food is bland and extremely greasy. I got enchiladas and the plate was full of grease.

I've been searching for authentic Mexican food with actual flavor since moving to Mount Juliet and today I have found it. Service was great, friendly smiles and roomy booth seating. Love the variety of music too... some traditional Mexican music with some Led Zeppelin. Love it! This will be my go-to spot to bring friends, family and clients. The food is amazing!

I'm a local resident of Wilson County. My wife and I found Memo's Kitchen a few months ago. It is the best authentic Mexican food you will find!! Everything is made from scratch. The handmade margaritas are amazing. The authentic menu consists of better, kitchen versions of the usual offerings like burritos and tacos. But the highlights are the traditional dishes not found typically found elsewhere, like barilla and pibill. Tacos are served in fresh, handmade tortillas, and fresh salsa and guacamole start everything off on the right note! Add in wonderful, friendly, and quick service and it all makes Memo's our favorite Mexican restaurant. Guy Fieri needs to find this place for DDD!

Memo's is not your typical Mexican restaurant. It seems to be a more authentic. The food is delicious. The enchiladas are to die for. Fried jalapeños as an appetizer is really tasty. Always a great meal with great friendly service.

The food is VERY SALTY, The pork is stringy and dry. The rice is very mushy. Literally the WORST food in Mount Juliet. I was told the pork was a "great choice." I wish that was true! The food is not fresh at all and they cover it up with salt to try to give it flavor. Disgusting!!! Don't eat here! *Also Restaurant can not take criticism, and the staff acts like children.*
