We always like the food at PDK but today we had an experience worth sharing. They were busy with the after church crowd so our food took a little long. Not enuf that we even said anything about it but when the girl brought our food, she was so apologetic and even comped us dessert. It was so nice to see how much they care about service! Thanks PDK!

We stopped here before hitting the road back to KY and loved it. Great food options, for adults and kids. The waffles are delicious, perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. We also got a yogurt parfait and a fruit and granola plate, all the fruit was fresh and delicious. I had the chicken caesar wrap and loved it, not too much dressing and the chicken was seasoned well. Overall a great experience, perfect for a quick bite to eat before a road trip and much preferred to traditional fast food.

Interesting little joint that can't seem to decide if it wants to be a fast food restaurant or a mini mart. The atmosphere was inviting. However the food was pretty boring. I got the shrimp Po boy, and man was it bland. The menu said that it came on a baguette, but what they actually served it on was a big hot dog bun. The shrimp itself was fried and breaded, but had no real flavor. The French fries had a lot more seasoning and were actually pretty delicious. If they would just sprinkle some of the seasoning they used on the french fries onto the shrimp, it would have been a really good sandwich. As such it was pretty bland.

My husband and I love this place especially for the salads. They used to have them on special like once a week for $5 and now they're like $8.50.I decided to try their other special grilled cheese and chicken and rice soup. The grilled cheese cheese wasn't even melted and the chicken and rice soup was very bland barely any taste at all.My husband has salad it was great as always. I did tell supervisor or manager and another person that came by our table about the Non-melted grilled cheese. Both of them offered to remake the sandwich or to buy us desserts. I just wanted to let them know that without melted cheese it's just really a cheese sandwich.Kid-friendliness: Offer a free kids hot dog meal with any adult meal purchase this comes with a drink and chips.

Candy was the perfect greeter! The "Ugly Chick" sandwich was truly awesome (it really needs a new name - Ugly Junk?). Nice, clean, family atmosphere.

Our family made the right decision to come here! The food was super yummy. The bacon was crispy and the French Fries became my new favorite. It’s always nice when a restaurant offers gluten free buns! Candace made our family feel so welcomed and we all left with full tummies and smiles. Great place to bring the whole family!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns!Kid-friendliness: Kids loved it!

I was craving a pimento cheese chicken sandwich since Chick Fil A no longer had theirs, and I found PDK's Tennessean burger with pimento cheese and onion jam... ONION JAM!!!! I had to try it. When I arrived I was cheerfully greeted and informed of all the specials. Everyone behind the counter was friendly and kind, quickly serving me and others in the store. After I ordered to-go, I was able to shop their little store in the front while I waited. It was full of cute trinkets, delicious smelling candles, and other fun little items and gifts. The burger itself was delicious! I only wish I had more of all the toppings: more lettuce, more pimento cheese and WAY more onion jam!!! It was sooo good and satisfied my pimento cheese craving. I will definitely be back for more!! I also ordered the famous Demos' Chicken & Rice soup. The only thing that was missing was Demos' famous bread. I love that soup, but I can never get to their original restaurant out in Lebanon, so I was very excited about that as well.Go to PDK - you will not regret!

I ordered before my mom arrived, and the service was terrific. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name, but I was greeted immediately and felt extremely welcome. She helped me go through the menu and make my final decision. My mom ordered a chicken salad sandwich, and I ordered a Pdk burger and a turkey and avocado sandwich. It was our first time there, so they offered us banana pudding cups to try, and we also ordered their cobbler for the day, which was either blueberry or blackberry with peach. The inside was very welcoming and had beautiful decor and lighting. One downfall is I am 37 weeks pregnant, and my mom and I could barely fit in the booth. The tables are a little high ( you will see in one of my pictures); it was a little uncomfortable, and we considered moving since there were a lot of open tables but decided to manage with it. We were unsure of what to do with our plates once we were done. We assumed we would empty them somewhere but had to ask where the dishes go, so we didn't leave them on the table, and they confirmed we did have to empty them into the trash and put the plates near the trash can in the plate holder they had available. Now the food,PDK burger- the bun was very good, light, fluffy, and buttered well. The burger itself was good; it had cheese and ketchup on it. I wouldn't say it is something I would crave, but a good burger. 7/10 for me, but the fries that came with it were 9.5/10 Turkey and avocado sandwich - I added mayo that she told me they make themselves and cheese to my sandwich, and I will say it was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a good minute. I want to say it had a lot to do with the mayonnaise on it. 8.5/10 great flavorIt was a good size, but I could only finish half of it, and I brought the rest home. Banana pudding- I wanted so badly to like this because I love banana pudding, but it had more of a watery texture to it, and the graham-cracker-type stuff at the bottom wasn't anything too special for me. It was definitely better with the banana pieces covered in the pudding and the sweet sauce on top, but I wouldn't say it was amazing- Edlys BBQ has a fantastic banana pudding, so I had high expectations.. 5/10 for the banana pudding here - it is a nice complementary item but not something I loved Cobbler - again, another thing I wanted to love, but it has sooo much cinnamon in it that I swear it punched the back of my throat with cinnamon, very overpowering taste. The texture and the peaches/berries were good but were overpowered by the cinnamon. 4/10 We also ordered a small side of Mac and cheese, and my mom liked it, but I found it to be bland, but that's why she said she liked it. It just tasted like melted cheese and noodles, with no flavor or spices added to it. For my mom, it was a 9/10; for me, it was a 3/10 This just goes to show that everyone's tastes are different! Definitely go and try it, at least for the atmosphere and the hospitality! Overall, I definitely think we would come back here and try some other food on the menu. They have a great selection, and I loved the atmosphere. The market inside is very cute and i love that it is a lot of small businesses and non profit companies that have products for sale.
