By far the best place to eat in a 1 hour radius. Being from Ashe county this place is worth the drive for all who appreciate creative fresh food. This was a great place to celebrate our 15 yr anniversary.

The best Italian food I've had outside of Italy and New York... Everything homemade, every meal prepared from scratch. As for atmosphere... The restaurant is the downstairs of an old house. Wooden tables, small lamps... Warm, cozy.

Fine dining in the mountains. Make reservations and bring cash, and you will not be disappointed nor leave hungry. Everything about this restaurant is exceptional.

We had a great date night at La Cucina, driving over from Johnson City. The pastas, desserts, and bread were terrific. Highly recommend.

Make a reservation and they only accept cash. There were four of us. We all ordered a different meal. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We tasted 2 of the 3 desserts. They were yummy as well. Would definitely go back when we are in this area again. I had meatballs and spaghetti!

The food is always fresh and flavorful. The service is beyond hospitable. And the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect for a soft lit, homey restaurant in the Blue Ridge mountains. This place always exceeds my expectations and keeps me coming back. Well worth the drive!

Just WOW!! I haven't tasted food this good other than in Naples, Italy. It is the best!

One of the finer places to eat in Mountain City! I absolutely love this place. The owners are extremely great folks and care about every customer who comes through their door. You will not be disappointed!
