I don’t typically leave reviews, but this place needs one. I’ve been here several times, each time it get more disappointing. They have been out of half the menu on the four occasions I’ve gone. They don’t let you know before you make up your mind, and sometimes you fully order then get told that they are out. I got the roast beef on toast. It was decent, but my fingers swelled due to the amount of salt. I was out of tea for most of the meal. The staff were so loud at the front that my husband and I could barely hear each other talk. Our bill was $55 for poor service, noise, no drinks, and subpar food. I could have gone to the road house and gotten a good steak for that price. I worked as a server for 5+ years so I’m not blindly judging. We won’t be back.

Was our second time there and once again the food was amazing. Had the Philly cheesesteak, and being from Pennsylvania I was skeptical if it could hold up to what I was used to. It was amazing, real steak not Steakums. The sweet potato fries were great. The owner takes the time to check in to each table. We are so thankful they have decided to make Mountain City their home and to bring a good, reasonably priced restaurant to our community.

Have been there twice since they opened fall of last year. The first time my husband and I split a hamburger with sweet potato fries. I don't have hamburger often, this one had me wanting another one very soon. It was perfect. Last week we each had a Philly Cheesesteak. I am from Pennsylvania originally so I was a bit skeptical about finding a good Philly in Tennessee. It was amazing. Real steak, not the frozen steakums kind. It will be difficult not to get it every time we go. Their memo is not extensive but has variety. Prices are reasonable. The owner goes around and checks on each table and if clients are willing, engages in conversation. This restaurant is a welcome addition to our community.

Mountain City Grill Haus? YES! We were a party of 4 who came about 1:30 pm on a Saturday.Food - we ordered a large assortment of apps and beverages. Fantastic, crispy wings and onion rings. For sure order the jalapeño poppers. There is a full bar with many beer options by the bottle or on tap.Service - the best I've had in a long time. I genuinely felt like a guest. Kudos to the owners for picking an A-1 team and an efficient POS system. You can even pay your bill at the table. Also many thanks to Nichole who made our day fun.Atomsphere - Immaculate, modern county, open. No strip mall ceiling tiles here. Bathrooms spotless.Mountain City Grill Haus is a very welcome fresh breath of air for local dining options.

Visited today for the first time with some friends to celebrate my birthday. We all had a great time and Nichole was a fantastic bartender and server. Everyone was really nice and friendly.We filled up on appetizers so we didn't try the mains, but the onion rings, poppers, and wings were excellent. So glad to have a place to relax with a beer in Mountain City. Thanks!
A wonderful treat to have drinks and dinner in the Mountain City area. Awesome ambiance, cool vibe, and super friendly staff. We visited on music Thursday which added to the joy. Solid food done very well with a surprising amount of vegetarian options for the location. Much recommended!

First time impression of atmosphere was welcoming and looked to be very modern for the area. Obviously money was spent on the esthetics of the bar, beer selection was mediocre and prices were stupid expensive. The general manager was in the corner of the bar while the owners were standing at the entrance to the kitchen looking like deer in headlights. I wish them the best. Telling a potential employee that if it doesn't work out you would "turn this into your man cave" is not a good look. Keep your portions consistent and don't complicate the uncomplicated.
