I can't say enough Great things about Suba's. Rich and Luanne are the owners and they are great people. They are graduates of culinary school and they know how to cook great food. Luanne makes all the desserts from scratch and they are amazing and Rich is a fantastic Chef. He knows how to prepare a great steak. Suba's is a experience that you won't forget.

While staying in Mountain City to visit my great aunt over the mountain in Vilas, NC, we needed a good takeout spot for lunch one day. She recommended Suba’s, and since we were staying nearby, it was a perfect fit. We ordered three salads, each loaded with fresh veggies and perfectly grilled, seasoned chicken—simple, satisfying, and clearly made with care. We’d planned ahead with my aunt, so based on the reviews I saw here, I also made dinner reservations. Holy cow, what a treat! First off, the place is cozy and popular—definitely make a reservation. I didn’t see an empty table at lunch or dinner. My wife and I ordered a fish entrée and a seafood bake, and both were absolutely outstanding. The flavors were rich and memorable. The rolls? Crazy good—I actually ordered extra because they were that irresistible. And the desserts… wow. Suba’s has a fantastic selection of homemade treats, and judging by how the locals were pointing and choosing, they’re clearly well known for them. We had the bourbon glaze bread pudding and agreed it was one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. Our server, a seasoned pro, was warm and attentive, and the whole staff radiated the kind of Southern charm that’s hard to find where we’re from. Suba’s isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. Highly recommend.

Suba's is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Northeast Tennessee. The atmosphere is elegant yet warm and welcoming. The service is excellent. The food is phenomenal. Suba's is one of those places that you rarely, if ever, hear anything bad about. That is of course with the exception of how hard it is to get a table due to it's tremendous popularity.

My husband & I celebrated our 41st anniversary on Weds 9/17 at Suba's & were stunned by how good the food was! Hubby had 12oz Ribeye & i had 8oz Ribeye with 3 jumbo grilled shrimp. The food literally melted in our mouths. For dessert, I had banana pudding cheesecake & hubby had bread pudding. All food was exceptional & our server was spot on & very personable & professional. We can't wait to ho back!
