Update two years later, March 2024: We went at lunch for a special occasion. The canned music was so loud, we could not converse. It was ear splitting. We asked the waitress to turn it down. She turned it down as much as the manager allowed but it was still too loud. I will never be able to get my husband to return. .....Two years ago: We had tasty food and good service at the Cajun Steamer and Grill. The decor was very casual but the food and service were excellent. I had the Catfish Ponchartrain and red beans and rice with sausage. My husband raved about how much he enjoyed the Shrimp Poor Boy Sandwich and salad. His did not have heat. Mine was spicy hot. The grilled catfish fish part of the dish was very spicy hot, topped with crab stuffing and then a rich Ponchartrain sauce. If you wanted less heat I think you could request less red pepper on the fish. I drank two big glasses of water but enjoyed the dish well enough to order again. I brought the red beans and rice home for another meal. I nuked them two minutes on high as I like my beans soft.A Cajun friend once told me Cajun food was not hot, but it could be made hot by adding heat at the table. No one told the catfish cook this. Anyway, we will go again.

First visit to Cajun Steamer. I had Marvin's Chicken which was great. My wife's Shrimp and Grits not so good--literally had spoonfuls of grease puddling on top of the meal. Gator Bites were decent if you don't mind paying $19 for maybe 6 oz. Not a bad place, but you can find much better for a $75 lunch.

Disappointed in the biengets. Not nearly as good as we've had in the past. Hard outside and hollow inside. Should've complained to mgmt. Maybe it was the cook. Other food was good. Catfish, red beans and rice, burger, voodoo chicken.

The food was incredible, the portion sizes were massive, and the people were amazing. The only thing I hate is that I waited so long to finally try the place. I can't wait to come

I've had issues with To Go here before, and this time they gave me someone else's order. Luckily I checked it in the car before leaving and was able to bring it back inside. Had to wait for it to be remade; I have no idea what happened to my original order. Also unfortunately everything they have is too spicy for my taste. I got the tuna ahi dip and it was good except for the trail of fire it left behind! That's most likely a me problem but I wish they had less spicy options for the people who can't take the heat.

I went for the first time with 2 friends today 3/21/2024. The food was great, however the bar service was terrible. The bartender did not provide us with menus, napkins, nothing. It took us forever to get her attention if we needed anything. Mind you, there was only the three of us and another couple at the bar. So it was not a busy night.

We had a party of 10 and they went out of their way to take care of us. Our server Kat was AWESOME! Hard to find good people with a great personality. Food and drinks were good.Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a shrimp allergy and they made sure to take care of her.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out. Have several tables you can sit at.

Ordered take out for evening shift at work. I had the Cajun Mahi Mahi. The fish was way overcooked. I had to find honey mustard and mayo in break room to get it down. Same goes for the asparagus-they were not parboiled before being placed on grill. The mango salsa was a teaspoon, if that. I will not be returning.

Service was not good we waited a very long time for our food. The waitress indicated they were very busy but the place was not full. Last visit.

This was a nice surprise. I didn't know what to expect since Cajun food in Tennessee is suspicious, but the food was awesome. The service was great. We will definitely be back.
