We were looking for amazing southern food as mentioned on Tennessee Crossroads, but we're disappointed. The fish were great as was country fried steak, but vegetables were either too salty or tasteless. Staff were very cheerful and helpful.
Felt like I was eating in the diner on main Street in Andy Griffith. Breakfast was absolutely amazing from the grits to the sausage and bacon everything was good to the last bite.I think they even serve filtered cold water. This will definitely be one of my go to favorites for breakfast now on.
Hometown cooking, people and atmosphere. My mother ate here in the 50s while attending University. I loved City Cafe in the 70’s at University and still today we make a pilgrimage to City Cafe.
