Five on Black Kitchen and Spirit House

The food was delicious and the atmosphere is really cool. We randomly ran into some friends when we got there and they were able to accommodate us sitting together on the fly. We were there on their monthly donation night for a local nonprofit and thought it was amazing that they support the community. Definitely recommend!

Decided to try this for our anniversary. Did not disappoint. All the food was wonderful. Service was great. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back

Went Saturday. For disabled there are steep stairs. We were not offered a table on the first floor despite my cane. There is no elevator. The $49 steak filet does not have any sides and was not cooked correctly. The manager provided a hamburger quickly to fix the issue. It was ok. The salmon and sides were acceptable. The service was slow to non-existent. We had to get another server to help us when ours didn't check back with us.

We tried five on black for the first time last night. We were both very impressed! I loved their date night menu on Wednesday nights. Great value and great options! So much food for the money and delicious, quality ingredients! Very impressed with bartender who went above and beyond! Great service with Jason who we have known and loved at other local spots! We excited to see him there! Definitely check this place out ASAP!

From the ambulance to the food and drinks everything was perfect!

I don't often write reviews, but this is an exception. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I was enjoying myself so much I didn't even think of it. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted with warm smiles. The ambiance was perfect. It was cozy, the music was enjoyable, but not too loud. We could clearly hear it, but still carry on a great conversation. The menu was simple, but the offerings were perfect. I was tempted to order one of the yummy sounding burgers, then, looked at several different types of steak. It was hard to decide, but I ended up choosing a steak sandwich. It was a Cuban specialty, Pan con Bistec“Steak Sandwich.” It was super satisfying. We tried the Plantains, Wild Meatballs (bison and wild boar), and the Brussels & Bacon. It was all tasty. I didn't have desert last night, but I was treated to some of their gorgeous cheesecake last fall. It was so velvety and deeply rich. I definitely will go back.

I don’t use my credit card very often, but a few days after using it at this place, it was used fraudulently in California.

We had a magnificently terrible experience after being so excited to try this place after many fabulous meals at the Stakehouse Five. Food was cold and bland not at all worth the price (blackened shrimp was a joke), one of the servers was highly offended we asked for silverware and when confronted was even nastier, service took forever. I could understand if this was the first weekend and they were working out the kinks but this was a miserable experience and I would strongly suggest avoiding this one. Coming from a former service industry guy (along with my wife as well) it’s painful for me to criticize or post a bad review but this was over the top bad. Food quality was probably the worst of all. Live and learn I guess

Congratulations! The Boro needed this! Amazing ambiance, great food and ! Wow !On the Adult Beverage’s - the Only upsetting part or the evening was that the Vols lost against the Dawgs! Serve me another please!

This past Friday I went to an anniversary party for DURA FLOORS and had a great time. This place is way better than going to other so called steak restaurants. The atmosphere and staff were amazing. If you get a chance to go there it will make more make you appreciate your life more.

My husband and I really enjoy steakhouse five so when we found out they had a sister restaurant opening up that operated on Sundays we were super excited. I ordered a burger and fries while my husband ordered steak, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. The place did not seem too busy but the service was definitely slow. It took a while for our appetizer to come out and after I finished my first drink (Shirley temple) I was informed that they didn’t have the ingredients to make another one. Once our food eventually came out the broccolini was missing. Turns out the broccolini order was never put in. Also my husband ordered his steak medium rare and it came on VERY rare. Looked like it had just been seared on both sides and then put on the plate. The fries, while cooked wonderfully, were definitely over seasoned. I think we’ll just stick to Steakhouse 5 from now on.

This was a good experience. The food was good. Definitely what is needed in Murfreesboro. I just wish they and a few more options to choose from. The atmosphere is cool and definitely would suggest for a late night dinner.

First time to visit. I sat at the bar for over 10 minutes before any staff offered a menu or to take my order, and it was not busy. Over half of the bar seats were empty. I had the espresso martini and did not like it at all. The decor was beautiful and the menu had good choices. I only ordered the martini and left without drinking it.

My wife and I enjoyed our first time at this new restaurant in downtown Murfreesboro just off the square. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was superb. Our server Olivia was great and we were able to enjoy a nice walk around the square after dinner. We'll definitely be back and with friends!
