This seems to be the only authentic Cuban place in Murfreesboro, the staff is always wonderful, and it is a locally owned joint. There are many many options to choose from, including a few vegetarian options. They offer alcohol and other specialty Cuban drinks.Trust me, when I say, do not sleep on the black beans, once the beans were gone I poured the juice all over the rice and devoured it. You’re not gonna eat a single thing here that doesn’t have flavor.

Placed an online order at 12:13 get there with my toddler to pick up right before 12:30 and doors locked, written sign on paper saying “open at 12:30” never unlocked the door while 2 men then later 2 more men sat down and all got fresh cooked food and now 12:51 waitress finally comes to door after seeing me multiple times try the door and tells me they’re not open I tell her I placed an order a while ago and she tells me to come in, then bags my food and gives it to me, it’s cold, rice is definitely not cooked, didn’t follow the specifications I asked for. I called multiple times and they didn’t wanna pick up while I stood out front. Very unsatisfied. 43 dollars and it wasn’t worth it at all.Salmon plate and Cuban sandwich and kids burger and fries.

Pros : no wait we arrived at 11Am first in restaurant.Immediately waited on and service was fast.The place was spic and span clean or appeared that way and smelled that way .Cons: Small amount of food for the price point. Only limited amount of fries on plate (but probably we as Americans generally expect large portions so this might have been a good thing) . Ordered a Cuban Chicken sandwich and Havana Nachos no drinks only water. Bill was about $27.50 plus tax and tip. This was for two people . One was a big eater the other a light eater I being the light eater though I even think portions were very much on the light side. The sandwich tasted sub par nothing special, nachos nothing that wowed either of us.The really Negative CON : the server did not speak English so we had to use the phone for translation. I being the older of two people had never experienced this in a restaurant before but I tried to accept this as part of the norm now and since I want to keep up with the times. I'll go along with it.I hate to judge restaurants on first visit so perhaps I'll give it a second try. Glad for the experience of a new place to eat.

Excellent food. As good as Cuban food in Miami. The only hesitation was the music video’s on the tv showing too much skin and inappropriate dancing. I could not bring my grandchildren there.
This place is delicious. The sandwich Cubano (an obvious choice) was excellent. Meat tender and juicy, bread tasted fresh, and fries were excellent. Will definitely return here!
