We love this ice creamery. The chocolatey chocolate is perfection. Their milkshakes are delightful, friendly staff, and clean eating area. A must visit if you're in the area.

Hattie Jane’s Creamery is one of those rare ice cream spots that immediately makes a lasting impression. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warm, welcoming vibe that perfectly balances southern charm with a modern, artisanal flair. It’s not just a place to grab dessert it feels like an experience, something curated and thoughtful from top to bottom.
The quality of the ice cream is nothing short of exceptional. Each flavor is crafted in-house using real, high-quality ingredients, and it shows. You can taste the richness in every bite, whether it’s a classic like sweet cream or one of their bolder seasonal offerings. The texture is velvety and perfectly churned no icy shortcuts or artificial aftertaste.
One of the standout features of Hattie Jane’s is its flavor creativity. They’re not afraid to take risks with combinations, but they also honor simplicity. Whether it’s a batch made with local honey and lavender or their signature brown butter pecan, there’s something for every palate. Their seasonal rotations also keep things fresh and exciting, encouraging repeat visits.
The staff at Hattie Jane’s deserves serious praise too. Everyone behind the counter seems genuinely happy to be there. They’re quick to offer generous samples, patient with indecisive customers, and knowledgeable about each flavor’s background and ingredients. Their friendliness adds so much to the overall experience, making it feel like more than just a transaction.
Another thing worth noting is how well the space is designed. It’s clean, bright, and stylish without trying too hard. Whether you’re sitting indoors to cool off or enjoying your cone on a bench outside, the atmosphere adds to the enjoyment. It’s the kind of place you want to linger at, maybe even take a few pictures for your feed.
What also sets Hattie Jane’s apart is their commitment to community and local partnerships. You can tell they put real effort into sourcing from nearby farms and producers, which not only supports the local economy but also enhances the flavors. That level of intentionality is rare and speaks volumes about the brand’s values.
Overall, Hattie Jane’s is more than just a good ice cream shopit’s a destination. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s absolutely worth a stop. The combination of incredible ice cream, welcoming service, and thoughtful atmosphere creates a genuinely memorable experience that keeps people coming back again and again.
Stopping for ice cream on a busy hot night poor girl behind counter all alone long line
Ran out of ice cream no way to replenish she was alone … need more help
Ice cream is fantastic but unacceptable for a teenager alone
Usually when we come here this place is awesome—employees are great and efficient and kind. That said, the folks who were working the counter this afternoon were pretty terrible. I get that folks can have off days or bad moods, but this was genuinely poor service. I felt ignored and like I was an inconvenience to them the whole time I waited for my milkshake. Yikes man. Kinda made me regret my tip.
We had an awesome experience and the ice cream was so good! Our server's name was Taylor, and she was so sweet and helpful! I recommend the honeycomb flavor. Overall we had a great time.
I love their ice cream there so good I love to get the chocolate it’s original but I love it so so much take your kids there! There a little pricey but it’s well worth it!

Best mule kick flavor ice cream ever!!
Good handcrafted ice cream, albeit a tad expensive. I love to go every now and then as a little treat for myself.
So you may start seeing bad reviews here because maybe…employees have a viewpoint different than a customers. Julia Matteson posted on Hip Donelson throwing this business under the bus because of this. If you don’t like someone’s viewpoint, politics, hair color, move on. Let’s quit trying to tank a business because of it. Take bad reviews with a grain of salt from here on out. Their product is excellent.
When friends come in to visit from out of town we regularly steer them away from Hattie’s because of the way this shop runs their business and the people they employ. 1 star is generous, check out The Soda Bar or Scoopys if you’re looking for a cool spot that values their customers. 🔵
