Brunch and Brew cafe (Joe and Dough)

I guess I should have stuck to coffee and a donut! I had been craving a bagel for months, so thought I’d give them a try when I saw the sign outside that said “fresh made bagels” The cashier told me the bagels were her absolute favorite thing on the menu. Trying to get more protein I asked about “chicken vs fried chicken” and she suggested the “chicken” because it was grilled, much better in her opinion. I also added a fried egg and planned to grab some hot sauce from the counter. She confirmed it will be toasted and let me know it would be about 10 minutes. Bagel plus recommended tip $9. I paid and grabbed my number, took a seat on a sofa where I read my book. When the bagel arrived at the table, I immediately stated to eat in excitement! Sadly, I found it to be the chewiest bagel I’d ever had. Tasted like it was freezer burned and even microwaved, not fresh. Unfortunately even the “grilled” chicken was 3 slices of slimy chicken, like the precooked Tyson bags at Kroger. Fortunately the egg was good! I contemplated on taking it back, but to be honest the staff all were having such a good time standing around, chatting and joking as if this was a social event l. I chose to shove my $9 bagel down as best as I could and then leave. I hate to give a bad review, but I don’t recommend the bagels. Hope the donuts are better!

I had the build your own sandwich and it was delicious! I ordered an iced latte with coconut and marshmallow syrup with mocha drizzled on the inside of the cup. I would say this was the best latte I’ve ever had! (I like my lattes on the sweeter side so if you don’t maybe don’t get both syrups). I’m sad I’m not a local. They should open a restaurant in Charlotte,NC it would do very well there.

the ladies were so welcoming and so nice and food was amazing !!

The food is really disappointing despite its cute vibe . The quality of the food really went down. Nothing is seasoned everything taste so bland and when I bit into the sausage half of the patty was cold ?? I wouldn’t come here even if I was starving to death.

Not worth the price point. Workers were nice but couldn’t answer questions about dietary restrictions. Donuts did not seem fresh at all and we were there before 7 am!

Everything we ordered was delicious, but the best was the warm apple fritter 🔥🍎. It didn't have a cool & welcoming vibe like I expected, but there was plenty of seating and the service was quick & friendly.

I purchased 6 glazed donuts. When I got home I noticed I had 6 cake doughnuts. When I returned to the store to have this corrected. I was told the cake doughnuts are the glazed doughnuts. When looked at the doughnut options I saw frosted yeast doughnuts but no glaze. Now were you simply out of glazed doughnuts or have you changed what you call a glazed doughnut? Because I’ve been buying glazed doughnuts since you open and these are Not glazed doughnuts.
