I was disgusted with a server and all of the cooking staff. They were constantly touching their hair, noses, and each other. We left and didn’t order because I’m not eating food being cooked and served from such low standards. We were not approached by a manager after explaining that we would not be eating! We were sat across from the kitchen and did see everything that I described. Do better Murfreesboro! Just gross!!
Simply the best Italian in town. They’ve had basically the same menu for 20 years which is because the menu is perfect. The spinach dip, Cajun chicken pasta, and eggplant Parmesan are my faves, and the calzones also can’t be beat. Fun atmosphere, works for a casual date night or family pizza night just the same.
Interesting, old school Italian place with great lasagna.
Lasagna is my favorite and they give you plenty of.
We drive all the way from Lebanon for this treat. Chef yelling like GR in the small area was not needed = reduced service score.
Went here for lunch today after all my coworkers suggested it—SO GREAT. Cozy booths, soft Sinatra radio, fresh bread & pasta & incredible service. I’ve had comparable experiences at places that cost 10x as much. Great lunch portions for great prices. Thanks for a lovely meal!
This reminded me of a little restaurant a Hallmark movie. Like I could see it play out right in front of me LOL. Delicious food and amazing staff. Quick service and good prices. 🥰👍
Lunch was really good. I had the Wednesday special, manicotti. It is a good deal. It includes soup or salad and a drink. Hubby had the deluxe calzone, hold the green peppers. That was really good, too.
I don’t know how this place stays so busy—Marina’s in Murfreesboro left me underwhelmed. First off, they don’t serve cocktails, so I guess they don’t have their liquor license, and their drink menu is limited to just wine and beer. The bread they serve is nothing special—just a mini loaf of white bread that tastes like something you’d get at Walmart, served with butter packets. It was bland, and honestly, I was surprised they thought that was okay.
The Caesar salad was disappointing too. It was just large pieces of iceberg lettuce with a couple of croutons from a bag, and the Caesar dressing was fine, but I’m used to my Caesar salads already tossed in the dressing. The chunky bits in the dressing looked like powdered Parmesan from a shaker, not freshly grated cheese, which was a letdown.
On the plus side, the Dante’s Inferno was flavorful and had a good balance of spice and meat, so that was enjoyable. The eggplant parm was surprisingly better than it looked—while it didn’t have much visual appeal, the taste was decent. However, the side of pasta and sauce was a no-go. It had an odd, off-putting flavor that was hard to enjoy.
Overall, I don’t understand why this place is so popular. It’s not bad, but nothing special. For the price, you’re better off trying other Italian restaurants in the area—honestly, even Olive Garden is a better option. The quality of ingredients also seems questionable, with everything feeling prepackaged and reheated rather than fresh. I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a more authentic Italian experience.
Had a delicious chicken parm and a calzone the size of my head! Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
Staff was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was cute and well kept.

Marinas has the BEST Caesar dressing around. So much so that we bought a container to take home. My husband ordered a white pizza. It was a little dry so we asked for a cup of Alfredo sauce to dunk in and that was better. I had the tortellini and it was very good. Everything we’ve had has been worthy of having a second time. Our server was great and very attentive. Cost was what you would expect ranging $12-$16 a plate.
This is by far my FAVORITE restaurant hands down!!!! We have been going here since we first got introduced to it from some friends of ours in 2006. They have the best Italian food around. The focaccia bread is to die for!!! Amazing atmosphere, food, & service. Again I love this place!!!!
Absolutely amazing dishes, highly recommended
Place is nice and in a convenient area. Food was really basic but okay. Pizza crust was thin and very crisp which is not my preference but fine. Stuffed mushrooms were okay. Meatballs were okay, antipasto was okay, chicken parm was okay. Eggplant was different, more like chips than slices. Angel hair pasta was overcooked and not hot. Service was flat out bad. Our server didn't refill any easter during our whole meal. He forgot a wine order twice. Two of our group's side salads were forgotten and didn't come to the table until after everyone had their entrées. I've definitely had worse restaurant experiences, but this was bad enough that I won't be back.
Great food, nice waitresses, decent prices!
