Great food and great service from Kat. Wait was longer than expected and there was still a bit of trash on the table.

I never say anything about experiences places however the one I just had here was absolutely horrible. I will NEVER go back! I order sandwich with NO onion. The waitress brought it out i looked at it it had onion, I said I'm sorry this has onion. She immediately apologized and said I told him no onion, but he doesn't listen to me all the time. She took it up to the kitchen. Which if you have been there you it's all open. She told him he got loud with her said no it doesn't have onions. She asked him to please remake it. He is yelling at her saying it was fine as he starts to remake it and is slamming everything around. So everyone eating can hear him. My mother in and law and husband respond stating yes it did have onions. We felt bad for the waitress she was getting yelled at by the cook for asking to remake the sandwich. So she comes over and apologizes for his behavior I told her to just cancel the order all together cause I didn't want anything made by him if that's how he was going to act and I ask to speak with the manager. The waitress states that is the manager! I was like wow! So the waitress goes to tell the manager that I requested to speak with him. Then this other guy comes out I ask are the manager, he said I'm one of them. I said oh ok I thought he was. This manager said the one that just threw the massive fit was the managing partner of the resturant, his name is on the door. He absolutely apologized for he handled it and offered to make the sandwich but there was nothing he could do because the guy who acted a fool was his boss. Jessup Manning the managing partner for Metro Diner treated his staff horribly infront of customers, acted like a 2 year throwing a tantrum and had no customer service. I will never go to Metro Diner again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Terrible service, I felt discriminated against because I was disappointed that I spent an hour and 20 minutes waiting for a table, new people arrived and they passed them without any problem. I've been in the city for 20 years and something like this had never happened. When I came up to tell them why they passed on new people, if I had more than an hour waiting, they only told me to keep waiting for a table. Oh, I felt that because I was Hispanic and because of my skin color, I wasn't served.

I walked in during lunch and half the place was empty. I was seated and I waited a full 20 minutes for someone to come over and offer me anything. At the end of the twenty minutes I got up and told a server that I hadn't been greeted. He didn't care. Five people had looked at me multiple times and they passed me by. Apparently to get service you have to be old. I guess my money is no good to them. I'm betting it was racially motivated as well. The place is very close to where I work and I was planning on making it a regular thing after I finished the morning shift. This will never happen now. You see money is money it doesn't matter who has it. If you work for tips everyone that comes in is a millionaire regardless of who they are you treat them well. Don't waste your time or money on these losers.

Good food, diner style so busy and loud. Staff was quick and pleasant. We had a large party and they got everything right.

$17 after tax for a bowl that is all off maybe 2 eggs and maybe 2-3 pieces of SMALL steak is beyond ridiculous. Inflation this, economy that. We’ve all heard the excuses before and we’re sick of em. It does not run you that much in resources for a bowl to cost that much.. especially with what some of the other prices are…Yeah. From the absurd pricing, and greedy portions, I’d take your $10-$20, go to Waffle House and leave full, with better tasting food. Seriously do ya’ll even put salt on anything, or is it just garlic aioli and “house sauce” like the rest of these places. Metro Diner is just another bloated millennial “eatery”, that charges way too much for food that is subpar and bland.

Absolutely the worst service ever. It has progressively gotten worse and worse. We always come for the fried chicken bc it is amazing but the service is horrendous. There were 2 other tables when we got there. We were sat and the couple behind us got sat. They were greeted and had drinks before we even saw our server. She made the excuse of other tables. WHERE? There were 4 tables in the entire restaurant. Are they in the room with us? We later saw her slap down menus for a table with a wheelchair and walked away. She didn't even bother with the chair. Just left the people to deal with it. I'm afraid if we go again we'll just be sat in the kitchen and thrown scraps.

Was super excited to order from here and expected great things. Ordered a turkey dinner plate with green beans and broccoli and a large apple juice and a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. Received a turkey dinner with no cranberry sauce French fries and 2 sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and no apple juice. I called and said something to the manager Marcus but he didn’t seem to care much. Definitely won’t order from here again. Disappointed to say the least

Update: Reached out to the email address owner provided in their response. It's been 6 days and still haven't heard back.

Went here for lunch for the first time today and it was absolutely terrible. My wife and I both ended up sending our food back because it was inedible. I ordered the spicy honey chicken sandwich and it was super over cooked and entire plate of food it was served on was covered in sauce making the fries and sandwich bun soggy. My wife ordered fish and chips and the fish was very obviously spoiled. Service wasn't much better. After our entrees were removed because we didn't want to order anything else we were brought a check for the appetizer we ordered, our sides and drinks. So we spent $25 for fries and soft drinks. Manager came to speak with us about the issues and offered a $15 bonus card which we declined because we obviously won't be back

The food was a 10, we got there at 10:30 a.m. of course it was extremely busy, which is a good thing. It's just a little loud. Next time we'll go early. Kat was our waitress. She was awesome!

Diner style grub with a small touch of upgrade. ;-)

Update - Popped in here with a couple of clients who really enjoyed it. The service was great. The food was good.

Popped in for a quick breakfast. Is kind of a modern diner style restaurant. I had the fried chicken Benedict. The food was all right. The service was good. The staff seemed friendly and eager to help. It's not my favorite breakfast place but everything was well executed and overall it was good. I'm sure I'll be back at some point :)

We got the fried chicken plate and the fish and chips. The chicken was delicious and fried well. The chicken itself had great flavor, so many restaurants have flavorful coating but bland chicken. Not so at Metro Diner.
The fish was also flavorful and well cooked. Sister is a connoisseur of Caesar dressing and was impressed with their Caesar dressing.
Hannah was our server and was the icing on the delightful cake that is Metro Diner.

Breakfast is an A plus . Comes out fast , hot , & tastes delicious. Service is great. I can’t speak for other meals but I’ve seen people order them and they look good too . BUT , I generally only order water since that’s my go to beverage for all day but yesterday I ordered a cup of decaf coffee and husband had a cup upon checking bill two cups of coffee $3.50 each in fact a little more since it was 7 something REALLY!!!! You are kidding me !!! That’s ridiculous the other prices were about as expected. I will be back but no way, nothing but water from now on . Oh and I do get it’s all you can drink but we only had one cup each . If we really want coffee we’ll stop first and get our senior 69 cents cup from Hardee’s.
