I placed a paid mobile order through the Popeyes app on 12/20 around 10:30 PM for pickup at the drive-through (2435 S. Church St., Murfreesboro). When I arrived, I was told over the intercom that I had to come inside to get my food — despite the app clearly offering drive-through pickup.

I explained that I could not come inside because I had multiple children in the car and was the only adult present. I even told the employee I didn’t mind waiting in the drive-through if needed. His response? He refused to bring the order out because he “didn’t want his drive-through times to go up.”
Let that sink in — metrics mattered more than customer service, safety, or common sense.

To make it worse, there was no one behind me in line.

I was then told to “try to refund it on the app” because there was “nothing he could do.” The app would not allow cancellation since the order was already received. Result: no food and no refund for my $14.26 order.

This is not just poor service — it’s completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If drive-through pickup isn’t actually supported, don’t advertise it in the app. And if a customer is paid, present, and willing to wait, refusing service over drive-through timing is ridiculous.

This is not the first time I’ve had an issue at this location, but it will absolutely be the last unless management steps in. I expect a response, a refund, and some accountability.

WORST EXPERIENCE! I waited from 9:27pm to 10:58pm just for a 8 piece meal w/ 2 sides and 4 biscuits, absolutely ridiculous!

They've gotten me for the last time (this one on Church St., that is). I just went through the drive thru and ordered a chicken sandwich. 1 - they didn't tell me the price until I pulled up to the window; 2 - was not given a receipt; 3 - they got my sandwich wrong! This isn't an isolated event. In the past, I've dealt with messed up orders and rude or indifferent employees. This is the third strike against them, so I'm out. Do yourself a favor: if you want Popeye's, go to the one on Memorial. I've never had any issues there. I will go out of my way to go there in order avoid the location on Church St.

Absolutely terrible, took them legit an hour to make my food after I ordered ahead through the app. The Mac and cheese was laughably bad, soda machine was flat, got unsweetened tea when its supposed to be sweet, I give credit to the 2 ladies at this location (wish i got their names) for attempting to make it better, shout out to them. But after the long wait time, double checking to make sure food wasn't missing, quality of the food, and overall experience I can't let that slide

I encountered extremely rude employees during my call, and I suspect the names they provided may not have been genuine. The staff showed little willingness to assist, and the overall lack of professionalism was disappointing. This location would benefit from rehiring employees who are committed to providing proper customer service.

Pulled into the drive thru and had to wait 20 mins to get my food. I eventually walked in to ask what was going on and my food was already done and no one had brought it out. And my order came out wrong. Trash

Thought cashier rude ask said no plates didn't even offer a box made our order to go never asked if we wanted here or to go chicken was good eating it on napkins not a food experience

Our server mumbled we couldn’t understand a thing he said so we had to keep asking. I had a spicy chicken sandwich that was so horrible. It was smashed flatter than a pancake. I tried to pull the bun off and it just fell to pieces in goo.

Ordered dark meat, 8pc family, with, lg coke slaw , 4 biscuits. My coleslaw container was only 1/2 filled. The chicken was suppose to be 4 thighs. I received 3 thighs & 4 chicken legs and a piece of chicken that was breast meat but it was only a mangled up piece of fried chicken and cooked to hard to eat.. So I'll be ordering from a different chicken establishment next time .

We tried to go in and grab take out twice. It was around 6pm and there were about 10 people in line all looking frustrated. There was literally NO chicken cooked. There was 1 person in the kitchen battering chicken to fry. He was moving at about 1 piece per minute at best. They told us it would probably be 1-2 hour wait. Not sure what the issue is, but it is very clear they are not in the business of selling chicken here.

I pulled up to the drive-through at 11:45pm, I was asked if I had a mobile order, I told the drive-through associate I did not. She said that they are only doing mobile app orders. I drove 15 minutes on my way to come here on a road trip and felt like they were making up their own rules. As I drove around to exit the parking lot, I saw them just sitting on their phone. Very unprofessional, google said they close at 12:00am but they refused to serve me through the drive thru.
