Try the pupusas de loroco! Loroco is the bud of a flower that tastes like a cross between artichokes and asparagus.I have had food from here delivered three times via GrubHub and it's been hot and correct every time. I'm 20 minutes away so I'm impressed!

Pupuseria Salvadorena is a small, humble restaurant located in a quiet shopping plaza in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I have found (honestly somewhat surprisingly) that the Nashville, Tennessee area has some great pupusas and I was excited to try this establishment. Walking in on this chilly day at about one o'clock, I immediately noticed that the only other customers in the establishment was a couple enjoying their lunch. I also noticed that the establishment should probably jack up their heat a bit. It was pretty cold in here and I contemplated putting my jacket on to enjoy my lunch. I started with the tamales de elote frivolity, which was a disappointment. They were way overcooked and simply not good. I also ordered two pupusas and these were considerably better (though the accompanying slaw was nothing special). All in all, I am going to give this establishment four stars. I would suggest just sticking with the pupusas.

All the food and drinks were amazing and the prices were relatively cheap for the amazing quality. Will definitely be coming here again!

This establishment is located at the end of a small strip of stores. You can kind of say it's a little hole in the wall. Upon entering, we were greeted promptly and told we can seat ourselves. There are several booths to choose from. The one I choose was a little raggedy and torn apart, but that's how you know the food is going to be good haha. My boyfriend and I came here strictly for the pupusas. He had never had them and I'm from out of town, so this place was new to both of us. He opted for 2 revueltas frijol, chicharron, y queso. (Flour tortilla filled with pork, cheese, and beans) I got 1 of the same and also 1 queso y chicharron. (Flour tortilla filled with cheese & pork) We also got pastelitos (fried pastry with veggies, like potato...and chicken, kinda empanada-like) as an appetizer. We of course had to start of with 2 huge cups of horchata. The horchata was good to me, not too overly sweet but I've had better. So as we are sipping away...a few tables after us got seated as well and by now we are halfway done with our drinks. Unfortunately one of the tables that got sat after us got their food first. The waitress then puts down the curtido (cabbage slaw) and the red and green salsa on our table. Anxiously awaiting our turn, we finally get our food about 10 mins later. We waited about 30+ mins total for our dishes. That's why 1 star off, and we got skipped. I didn't say anything though, I was just so damn hungry. I got my 2 pupusas and my boyfriend just got 1 of his, but the waitress said she would be right back out with the other 1 and the pastelitos. It took so long because I could tell everything was made to order. Everything this was fresh, hot, and tasty. It made up for the long wait. I've only had pupusas at 1 other spot in GA, but these pupusas here in Murfreesboro come in a close second! I layered on the curtido and topped it off with both red and green salsas. The green one- being a little spicy, which was just perfect. It was really good and the pastelitos were delish. I would come here again, but they could work on the wait time and organization better!

I just always get pupusas. Other people have gotten other thongs, and I did once... But tjr pupusas are where it's at! Loroco y queso and the revueltas with chicharron and queso. The slaw! The sauces! ???I also almost always get the yuca con pescaditas. I almost always bring food home, esp if my dining partner doesn't help with the yuca.My partner got the floutas tonight. He said they tasted great but weren't as filled with chicken as he would have liked.
