We decided to visit Joanie's for breakfast this morning, and everything was hot and delicious. The food was cooked to perfection, and the service was very nice. Lovely spot in the Boro.

JOANIE'S IS A MUST!!! What an absolute gem!! The moment we stepped in we were hooked. The Tombstone burger and sweet potato fries (the best we've ever had!) and HUGE salad with fresh greens, cranberries, bleu cheese, and walnuts with a divine dressing was superb!!!! It was very clear why this adorable eatery is award-winning! We topped iff our meal with a White Christmas latte and it was perfection! Don't miss this gem in the Murfreesboro square!

Positives 1st easy to find, nice location, staff was friendly, service was quick. I really like the way the inside is done very comfortable and welcoming. Food presentation was ok could use like some cut fruit on the side or something to pop color or freshness.
Now the cons, this is my second time eating there. The 1st time the food was good no complaints. This time it was lacking so much for how much I paid it definitely should’ve been better. Everything had a bland taste to include the hot chocolate. I got the breakfast burrito, for me the meat to eat ratio was way off especially since I got 2 meats. I had to check the burrito to see if it had meat at all. The eggs were over cooked to the point of being dry. The hot chocolate wasn’t very chocolaty, even though it was supposed to be milk seemed more like water base. My suggestion is less cook time on the eggs, maybe some type of sauce to add flavor, a better meat ratio, as far as the hot chocolate but for it not to have a chocolate taste is an issue change brands or add more.
I would like to give the place another try because I do enjoy the atmosphere it very cozy and welcoming. But as it stands I’m not sure if it will be anytime soon.
Edit- @owner I tried being very fair on my review, if I was going to write a bad review I would’ve hit you with a 1*. The hot chocolate was the least of the issues and the only one you addressed. I love small businesses I usually get the best service and food in them. Instead of only covering the hot chocolate and having an attitude, a better response would’ve been. I’m sorry you didn’t have a 5* experience with us. Thank you for the feedback and I will definitely look into your issues so it’s not a problem for future customers or when you next return.
