Went to Uncle Buds tonight with my family and I just wanted to take a second out to say how wonderful the food and staff was! Our server, Austin, was hands down one of the best servers we have had in a very long time! He was very patient with our children and accommodating. He was very kind and never left us needing anything. I cannot wait to eat at Uncle Buds again. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to have Austin as our server again!

Eh. It's okay. The sides were probably the best thing. I was very disappointed in the "gumbo" it really should be advertised as rice & bean soup honestly. It tasted burnt & there was no shellfish of any kind in it. Definitely a waste of 5.95.

Ok.. I'm going to start by saying that the atmosphere and the staff are amazing. Great setup inside with nice roomy sitting. Now for the hammer drop...the fried catfish, shrimp, froglegs, and gator tail was a greasy mess. Plus they were fried way too long in burnt grease. The chicken was perfect as well as the fries, slaw, and white beans. Hushpuppies were really greasy too. I love my fried food and I've been frying it for years and I know over fried grease when I taste it. I would like to say Me and my family will go back but I highly doubt it. Its really disappointing too because we live so close. See the color of the fried batter in the pic. Dark brown and with a heavy grease flavor.

This was our 1st venture out since things shut down. Food was good, but...our waitress did not have a mask on when she 1st visited our table. When she brought all the fixins out, she did. When she brought our order, it was down on her chin. By the time we asked for takeout boxes, it was off again. She was the only employee I saw who didn't have one on. I guess you just cross your fingers at this point and hope you don't encounter someone who's infected, but I would think more precautions would be taken at this level of "reopening".

high expectations

I am highly disappointed at Uncle Bud's. Today was the 1st day we ever decided to eat from this place. We placed an order on doordash. Even though Uncle buds prices are definitely pricey for what you get; we decided to order there anyway. The driver let me know that they were out of the clam strip dinner and there are no clams for the seafood platter either. They put the restaurant on the phone (since we already paid for this food through doordash). We asked for extra oysters instead since they were out of clams. They said OK to the oysters as well as adding extra shrimp too. When we got our food (cost almost $90 in total) not only were there no clams as expected but there are no oysters either. Also our food was delivered with a car full of people and the bag was not even stapled. As a business and especially during Covid-19 we expect you to have our health as your priority. We expected Mother's Day to have a nice feast but instead we were just left with disappointment. NEVER AGAIN!!!

All you can eat white beans, hush puppies and slaw with every order. We've been here twice in the last month or so and was excellent each time and the manager always comes by your table to ask how your meal is.

Plenty of parking, short wait, even when they are busy, super friendly staff, country atmosphere, tons and tons of food. I just keeps coming. Always well cooked and perfectly seasoned. Just well cooked and well served country food. A great place to take the family.

Food was mediocre at best. Service was some of the worst I've ever experienced, including the manager! According to the reviews, this is not uncommon for this location. Never had any issues with the other locations. Wish I had read the reviews before I wasted my time and money! I never leave reviews but I'm making sure to post on every outlet about this experience. Bad food is one thing but there's absolutely no excuse for poor customer service when you're one job is to service the customer!?!

I ordered food to be delivered because my teenage daughter was recently involved in a car wreck. When my food arrived, it didn't include what I had ordered from the menu. I ordered 2, 2 piece catfish dinners but only received 1 piece of fish in each meal. I called Uncle Buds to let them know and received the worst customer service EVER! The lady that answered the phone put me on hold for several minutes, then came back and said that the problem was that they don't do business with Grubhub. I was confused because I was looking at my order through the app, plus the delivery driver had my food in a Grubhub warmer bag and I'm thinking, what does that even have to do with my order being screwed up??? She continued to argue with me, talking over me and telling me it wasn't their problem. When I asked for a manager, she got an attitude and just put me on hold with no warning. When the manager picked up, he wasn't any better. After I explained what the issue was with my food and the horrible customer service that I'd just received, his response was "so what would you like to do, do you want to come and get another order and what did you have?" No apology at all and so unempathic and unprofessional. I left my daughter at home to go pick up the food because what we had received was not even enough for one person and I had already spent nearly $40! When I arrived, there were 3 younger individuals at the hostess stand, when I told them I was there to pick up a to go order, they knew who I was (I'm assuming they had been informed) they began to act with attitudes and pointed me to another counter to pick up my food. When I approached the counter, the lady (the same one that I initially encountered on the phone) called me by my name, slid the food across the counter and said "there you go." Still no apology and still had the same attitude. After all of that, the food was mediocre! They will never receive my business again and rest assured I'll be review them on every outlet available and letting all of my friends and family know. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and I will be a walking billboard for them from now on!
