The food was good and the girl at the counter was amazing. However…as much as a pet friendly patio is appreciated (and I know a luxury - I don’t want to seem ungrateful), staff should respect a dog’s space and if they’re in training. I wanted a quiet lunch where my dog could practice laying quietly while I eat and get some work done but I couldn’t even take a bite of food without someone coming up causing my dog to yank my arm. The few moments of peace we got she was content to sit and people watch but the constant new people approaching was too much. I know it was coming from a good place…but multiple times I was actively on a call and couldn’t even finish my call because of interruptions. I ended up just leaving over half my meal. I got about a 1/4 of a $20 lunch. Like I said, I don’t want to seem ungrateful, but if someone is obviously working (talking on the phone with a laptop on the table) maybe just let them enjoy their lunch break with their dog. The food was great and everyone was very nice but there’s no way I’ll spend another lunch break with my dog there again.
The ORIGINAL Martin’s is, by far, the best!
They have really good bbq that is worth the price tag. They have great staff that’s easy to work with on getting the food to the table. The atmosphere is really good and shows a lot of respect of the area it represents along with the decor is nice to look at. The price is worth its weight in the food that you get that’s done by professionals.
They have the best burger in town, the brisket burger. Their wings are also very good. Their brisket and turkey are solid but I've had better at some other local barbecue places. I wish it didn't have to smell so smoky in there but comes with the territory.
Loved it all, and especially loved the service! The gentleman at the front had the best, dry wit, and I was laughing all the way home! (And I live 3 hours away!)
If you like St. Louis style ribs this is the best place in Nashville. Great brisket and mac n cheese too. Ive been to 3 other locations, Nolensville is the best and the original location.
I was excited to try this place since my bestie and Godmother highly recommended it. I was visiting from NC and wanted some great to eat. I bought 4 meals for my family: pulled pork dinner, 2 chicken tender salads, and 1 barbecue chicken tender sandwich. The chicken was fried so hard to point it looked almost burnt (on sandwich and salads). It appeared to be old chicken that was fried again. The fries with the sandwich were old and had been refried again in old oil...they had the greasy oily smell that you could taste the oil. There was no barbecue sauce on the sandwich. My godfather said the pull pork was just ok. The restaurant wasn't crowded when my Godmother picked up our food which makes me think the food had been sitting and wasn't freshly prepared. I didn't call the next day because I was too busy attending multiple events on Sunday and flew back to NC today.
Finally went and they still had ribs available! Got em in a combo and were great. Got em dry, may consider wet next time.
I've been to Nashville twice and Martin's is my go-to spot for amazing BBQ. I am from the Midwest, so southern BBQ is nothing like it is here. Martin's continues to hit it out of the park with amazing food and a great atmosphere.

Very fun barbecue restaurant! So good that they were running out of some menu options by the time I was there around 8pm.
I don't know what else there is to say other than this place is outstanding Brian is the manager in charge and does a wonderful job in conducting his crew to do their best and they follow through
Great food and atmosphere! Fast, friendly service!
My go to for ribs and brisket!
