I ordered a family meal that was supposed to serve 2-4. It came with 2 sides. I asked if I could have cornbread instead of buns since I am sensitive to gluten. They only gave me 2 pieces of cornbread and counted that as one of my sides and I didn't get any buns. The barbecue tasted fine but was very dry.

So, BBQ is dear to heart, and a restaurant must line up to the good ol' KC bbq! I have to say Martin's BBQ was delicious, tender, seasoned pretty good, and the sauce was just right. I got The Big Brother. The Ho-Cake (cornbread pancake) and mac n cheese were near perfect. I will be making the ho-cakes for Thanksgiving. The only con was that the cole slaw was not slawing; too watery (perhaps too much buttermilk?), needed more seasoning (pepper), more miracle whip, more...

Very fun atmosphere, great staff, good service.

I was excited to dive into some BBQ so tried a good variety. My favorite might be the brisket or the wings. I wasn't as much of a fan of the dry rub vs. sauced overall. Ribs were good as well, decent mac. The hoecake was a bit odd and slightly burnt in flavor. Last, the pulled pork nachos was the weakest dish, very wet and got soggy on the bottom (I'd recommend they put it over a grill of some kind if...
