Read the reviews about how the food was so delicious “southern style”. Decided to try something new. Ordered chicken sandwich with Mac & cheese. Chicken dry, over cooked. The sourdough bun was dried out also. Mac & Cheese looked fabulous but very bland. The second lunch ordered was chicken salad with French fries. Advertised as slow simmered chicken with grapes and celery. Chicken tasted like canned chicken vinegar like, didn’t find a grape or any celery in chicken salad. Sourdough bun was also very dry, parts we couldn’t eat it was so hard. French fries were ok, probably the best part of our lunch. Really disappointed, maybe we just picked the wrong things on the menu.Update: Owner contacted us and refunded the expense for our lunch which was very thoughtful but wasn’t looking for that only sharing our experience. We don’t normally try new places and when we do read reviews before going. Just wasn’t the taste we expected.

Just stopped in here today on my way to work! I work down the road and pass by this place almost every day. I got catfish with some mashed potatoes and baked beans! The breading on the fish is EXCEPTIONAL. The baked beans were extremely flavorful. But oddly enough, my two favorite things were the hush puppy and the gravy on the potatoes! Will definitely be back here!

This place is absolutely delightful. Airy and fun vintage vibes placed right in a quaint town strip, the food is the real star. Puffy rolls baked in house lend support to the impeccably fried Nashville hot chicken covered with two sauces and pickles. Plenty of classic southern sides to choose from, but I went with cooling Cole slaw and couldn’t have been more pleased!! A must.Kid-friendliness: There is a huge chalk wall at kid height. Really sweet.

There are members of my family I would sacrifice to the wabash gods in exchange for those rolls. In all seriousness, this is a can’t miss spot! The hot chicken bowl is chef’s kiss

Wabash is where you’d want to be on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a taste of home - old Nashville - comfort food - everything you’d imagine in a “southern kitchen” and more. Service is amazing - Clinton brothers ect make you feel like family. The environment is charming, retro and inviting - where else can you walk in and get an icee with your lunch or dinner? Hot chicken bowl melts in your mouth, and the smell of the sourdough rolls …… oh my word. Would recommend to anyone - get out of Nashville and take the charming little trek down to Wabash - you won’t regret it

I got the Hot Chicken Bowl and it was delicious! The pickled red onions as well as the buttermilk cheese really topped it off. The sourdough rolls were also amazing!

Delightful surprise after finding this gem on Instagram. Southern cooking that brings back memories of Sunday dinners with the family. Must try sourdough rolls!Ordered the meatloaf burger because if you can get that right, you just know the rest of the menu will follow. Huge portions and condiments gave it just the right crunch and zing.Chicken tenders were perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection. Juicy and tender.Looking toward to trying new items on our next visit.

Was in Smyrna for business from Chicago and this restaurant came well recommended. From start to finish - welcoming atmosphere and staff- followed by equally impressive menu. The food is upscale home cooking - original/ regional specialties that made for easily one of the best meals I’ve enjoyed over the past year. Highly recommend the biscuits, meatloaf, Nashville chicken bowl… all outstanding and don’t forget their sides- full disclosure I fasted in preparation for this meal and it was all worth it
