We called ahead to get in line for dinner. The blackened grouper was as good as I hoped it would be. Absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed his burger and fries. And our granddaughter enjoyed the hot and fresh cornbread and rolls offered before dinner.

It is sad to see how far downhill this restaurant has gone. Over 1 & 1/2 hours before food was brought to the table, only to be told that several items were no longer available. Terribly managed. Will not be returning.

Food was decent. We asked for the skillet breakfast meal with pancakes. We asked to have cheese on the eggs but was told we couldn't customize the egg order. The hash brown casserole was yummy. Just wished there was more than a ice cream scoop size portion. Biscuit was good but heavy.

Such wonderful service and food was so good. Country cooking that is so tasty. I am vegetarian and had the portebella sandwich. The corn muffins are not sweet (I dislike sweet cornbread) so I was thrilled. Wanted some pie but no room.

This another of my favorite places. My usual fair is either fried catfish, very lightly floured, or fried chicken wings, again lightly floured. The roast beef is a favorite of several family member as well as the salmon. For vegetables I love their au gratin potatoes, sweet potato casserole, and cream corn. The last is only available in the the fall - to early winter. My family have tried the menu and the specials of vegetables. They all pass with a yummy sound. One of daughter's favorite is the Thursday Million Dollar Spaghetti. It's her treat for the week.
The desserts, oh wow. The ones I've tried are Terry Mullins Banana pudding that comes in a ball jar with lid. Coconut cream pie, I have to give half the whole pie to people otherwise I'd eat the entire thing myself. The multu-layered chocolate cake is very chocolatey and also a family favorite.
The staff greet you and are always friendly and give just the right amount of attention. They know their regulars.
Dean's started serving breakfast only on Saturdays, no to go orders. I haven't eaten their for breakfast, but I trust them to have quality with this new fair.
Being situated close to The Oak Ridge Playhouse, Blankenship Field for Friday games, and the yearly Lavender Festival is also a bonus. There are shops in Jackson Square to visit as well.
If you have children who love to play in a splash pad, concrete, bring some towels. The children love it. And their is a old fashion horse ride in Dean's.
Enjoy.

We used to live around the corner for years and would eat at Dean's from time to time as the food was always good. Back in town visiting after 9 years away and glad to see Dean's hasn't lost a step. Food was great and service was excellent. Good to see quality hasn't dipped over time like what happens to so many places. A reason this is still one of the top places to eat in Oak Ridge.
