We just tried FATS for the first time. The food is INCREDIBLE! We ordered ribs and pulled pork. They smoke pork shoulders and it was really good. There is a good amount of hickory smoke flavor in the meat. The ribs were meaty and tender. We also had the BBQ beans which have a lot of the pulled pork in them so they had an incredible smoky flavor. The potato salad was in a league of its own. They make it with new potatoes with some of the skin on. YUM! The staff were super friendly and helpful. They also have brisket, chicken and Wednesdays are wing days. FATS is my new favorite BBQ joint. Be advised that there is no dining room. It is take out only but don't let that deter you. Take yourself down there ASAP and try the best BBQ in the Knoxville metropolitan area.

Summary: Delicious with generous portions. Went for the first time today and bought a pork plate and chicken plate. The chicken had a lovely smoked flavor, and the pork was moist and tasty. The coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans sides were also very good, with appealing texture. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals, and look forward to also trying their brisket some weekend. Definitely recommend F.A.T.S. BBQ!

Went for lunch takeout. Limited menu until “the owner shows up in a couple of hours”. After ordering and paying, we’re told that one of the items ordered isn’t available and they can’t do a refund. Ended up with a $13 dry bbq sandwich I didn’t want. At least the sides were good. I was excited for a new bbq place in Oak Ridge but this experience was terrible.

Their BBQ is the best in the greater Knoxville area hands down. I went in and got a pound of pulled, plus they mixed up some hotter sauce for me. I am in awe and will be returning.
Excellent service and food. The cookies are delicious. The Hawg Dog is exceptional. 🌭 Pulled pork is tender and delicious BBQ sauce. Highly recommend. They also support the local community and Oak Ridge High School.

This my First time coming here I’m from Texas I will give them a 10. If you in OakRidge come get some barbecue the best in town. I already put me order for tomorrow for brisket plates. Wow this is soooooo delicious.
