Golden Oak is about like all other Chinese buffets. A wide variety of selections and a desserts area. It does a better than average job of keeping the pans full and they do enough volume that the food never gets an opportunity to start looking like it has been out there for a while.
The restaurant is large with most seating being booths but also has movable tables and chairs to accommodate large parties. The decor is rather generic but everything is well maintained and clean.
The service is top notch. I’ve never had my drink get close to empty before being asked if I’d like more. Used dishes are promptly removed from the table.
The taste of the food is like all other buffets; it’s never bad but sometimes you wish it had more flavor. The desserts area has the typical assortment of pudding, cakes, cookies, and jello. I can’t remember if it has ice cream available.
Payment is different from most places as you pay for your meal before you are seated. The price is about 10% more than other buffets but is still a good value.

Best Chinese food I have ever had. They also had some American food for the kids. I was with my family and the meals were reasonably priced. The food was great! The staff were friendly and asked often if we needed anything and offered drink refills. Highly recommend.

They have buffet food by the lb if you don't want to eat it there etc. they also have sushi by the lb. Yum. Good selection of all types of food.

Went for my daughters birthday. This was my first visit. My loves this place. Everyone is so nice service is great. I will definitely be going back.

Don’t even let you finish your food. They literally rush you out.
Kid-friendliness: Lady at front was so rude and told us we are liars and made a scene in front of other customers over the age of my grandson and asking us to show her a birthday certificate I mean all over a $3 difference we paid it because it really is no big deal he is tall and lots of people think he is older the big piss off is he hates their food and eats just rice. I was so uncomfortable it seemed like people were staring at us I went back the next day and showed her birth certificate and she just laughed

Well me and my wife are here 3 15 pm on Oct 19 2024 . My wife ask one of the buffet server. To tell her something was out . The server didn't say nothing. Then my wife ask her did you hear me . Cause it was loud and the buffet server yelled at her. Then she proceeded to sweep the floor . Then my wife told other server about incident all the server could say was thank you and smiled. We will never be back eat at your own risk food was dryed up
