$3.00 to upgrade to onion rings? We like the place, but you will pay Nashville prices. $16.00 burger. $9.00 for a tiny scoop of gumbo. It's Old Hickory, it's not Broadway.
This place is awesome. Service was great, food was amazing. I had the smashburger. Everything added. It was perfect. DeeDee our server was great. Sweet, funny, and perfectly attentive.

My visit to The Tavern at the Village was a mix of hits and misses. I ordered the catfish, and while it was cooked perfectly with a nice flaky texture, it could have benefited from a bit more seasoning. The flavor was a little too bland, leaving me wanting more punch to make it stand out. I paired it with hush puppies and fries, which were both decent—crispy and warm—but nothing particularly memorable or unique. A little extra kick in the flavors would go a long way. I was also surprised that no cocktail sauce came with the fish; it felt like something was missing.
The atmosphere, though, was really enjoyable. The place has a cool vibe, with plenty of TVs and pool tables to keep the energy lively and give people something to do. Service at the bar was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick to make recommendations. For a casual night out, it’s a good spot, but the food could use a few tweaks to really make the experience complete. All in all, a solid option for drinks and entertainment, though the food left a bit to be desired.

We had lunch here today for the first time and it will not be our last! Our server Deedee (?) was amazing. So friendly and hilarious! The food was so good and the atmosphere is perfect. Glad to see a great restaurant in town.

First time here and recommended by several friends. We had the Reuben and French Dip with fries. It was great and the French fries were awesome! Great atmosphere with pool tables and plenty of TV’s for any sports to be watched. We’ll definitely be back often.

The Tavern at the Villiage is absolutely fantastic. Tonight was my first visit to the Tavern, and I loved it. I was with a group of Ladies, the Women in Businesses from the Old Hickory Chamber. Roberta come over to our table and talked to us and told us more about the Tavern. We love Roberta and appreciate all in love and hard work she pours into our Village Community. I can hardly wait to go back and take my husband and some of our friends. Thanks to the Tavern at the Village and the awesome staff for great food and great service. See ya again soon.

Go to this place!!! The food is excellent!! Being out of town, we look for non chain places to eat and this has been the hands down best place by far. They have put heart into their food and it shows. My husband had the Reuben and I had the BBQ sandwich. Both were served with crispy crinkle cut fries. Cheese curd appetizer (fresh not frozen) and salads to start. Outstanding service from DeeDee and a wonderful conversation with management. Don't miss out, go now. I'm already looking forward to the pineapple upside-down cake I ordered to go.

Honestly we do like this place, but only because it’s 2 minutes from home and it’s got lots of TVs, things to do, lovely bartenders, and pretty good food with reasonable drink prices. The place is clean and has all of the right aspects that should get a bar up and running. Unfortunately, this place desperately needs a manager or two to run the day to day while the owner steps back and runs behind the scene operations. She’s not helping the place retain customers, she’s noticeably unwelcoming and standoffish, and more often than not she’s sitting at the bar eating or talking shit about someone (staff or customer). We want this place to succeed SO desperately as former bar managers and service industry workers ourselves— but the best thing the owner could do here is run the place like it’s Old Hickory’s newest sports bar, not like it’s her backyard sports bar.

We enjoyed our first time there. We went with our 20 year old daughter. The food, drinks, and service were all good. We returned a few days later. My 2 daughters arrived before us. They are 18 and 20. In the 5 days since we were there they have decided that they are now a 21 and over establishment. The server that informed them apparently was semi rude about letting them know. 21 and over is their prerogative, but I'll say that I think it's a very foolish decision. They are going to kill lunch business. They are going to loose any large parties that have children. They'll miss out on families that spent their day on the lake. We went on a Sunday night when this happened. It's week 2 of the NFL and there were like 4 people in brand new sports bar. I'd think they'd want to build a business. They won't last long like this and that's a shame. Their food and drinks are good, their tvs are nice, and they have some fun games. They are like 3 minutes from our house. I'd like to see them succeed, but I feel like all of this is a grim start.
