I was in the mood for steak, and Google Maps pointed me toward this place when I asked. I'm glad I stopped in! The atmosphere is great, the food was delicious... but what really sold me was the service. On a Saturday night, I was seated right away, and my food arrived faster than if I'd cooked it myself. Not only was my server charming and attentive, but even a different server who happened by made sure my iced tea stayed filled! I can't wait to come back!

Stopped in for lunch on Friday 11.OCT.2024. Our server was fantastic - personable, attentive, quick, etc. Superb job taking care of our family of six. Atmosphere is very cool - loved the rustic decor, etc. Lunch menu was great. Two tried the 6 oz. lunch sirloin, one the chicken tenders, one steak sandwich, a couple of burgers. Lunch was tasty across the board (and they’ll cook your steak blue if requested - IYKYK). Only downside was the kitchen was a bit slow cooking our lunch, and it wasn’t busy so not sure why the extended time but it wasn’t overly delayed. Just a bit slow. Overall great place to stop in, and we'll do so again if we’re back up that way. Recommended!

Our server was great. The food was not impressive. My sweet potato was so cool that the butter wouldn't melt, the garlic mashed potatoes were also barely still warm. The green beans were bitter, and the pork chop was tough without much flavor. The onion loaf appetizer was the hottest thing we got to eat, and it was very good. The salmon was seasoned well and cooked just fine. We won't be back but I do appreciate the nice gals there. Maybe they would have fixed it, we just didn't have enough time to deal with a food correction delay.
Parking: The sign is big and very visible but building is set way back from the road and the lot is narrow so it's easy to miss the driveway. The parking is arranged weird, head to the back for spots that aren't hanging out into the main drive. Be aware that the accessibility spots aren't all actually closest to the entrance.

Service was not great. Had to remind our server about our appetizers. Salads came out 1 minute before food. Pork chop and as good, steak was to medium, the center was pick but the outside was hard, catfish was just on. We wanted to give the hometown restaurant a try so we had an opinion of our own. We probably won’t be back.

Steak chewy. Steak tips I ordered like paper thin instead of medium it was well well done. Asked to removed it from our bill, they denied it because we took it & fed it to our 3 weiner dogs waiting on us in the truck ( with air conditioning). They ate it & was very happy. Travel nurse, won't bother to stop here again.

Was a surprise in Oneida! We stopped by for an impromptu early dinner on a Thursday night. We found the restaurant half full and were seated immediately. Menu is good with lots of standard options and a couple of unique options. Our server was really very good! She was polite and prompt and extremely professional. we ordered a fried catfish dinner with a side salad and the grilled chicken salad and we both had sweet teas to drink. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Everything was delicious, highly recommend the Orleans steak. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable with booths and regular tables. Waitstaff is friendly and service is wonderful. Perfect place for a good meal after a day exploring Big South Fork.
Parking: Smaller spots up front, more parking in the back if you pull past the covered entrance, better for a larger truck.

I only rated 3 stars for food because it was just fine. Nothing super good, nothing super bad—mediocre, really. I also think its a bit pricey for what you get but the service was good and the restaurant was clean.
Love this little steakhouse in the quaint town of Oneida, Tennessee. Food has been great every time we've stopped here. Service is excellent and we love the western theme throughout the restaurant.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, well done, however, the bacon on it was completely raw, I'm not sure it was cooked at all. Also, they left out my drink. It ruined my apatite and I couldnt eat any of my meal. When I tried to call back that night I got the answering machine, twice. As there's no option to leave a message, I called back first thing when they opened the next morning. I was told that because I couldn't return the cheeseburger, they could only take 3.00 off from my next order for the bacon. Ridiculous. I paid almost $20.00 for a meal I couldn't eat a bite of, then was treated like a bum trying to get over on THEM. It was a poor experience, I had always liked Preston's steakhouse in the past, but I don't think I'll be eating there anytime in the future.
