Totally delicious carrot cake for my husband's 75th birthday. We had enough leftover for folks who could not attend in person. Still fresh and delicious three days later.

I ordered a very specific cake for my son's Eagle Scout ceremony and they did an awesome job! They communicated very well and the cake was delicious. Thank you!!
Today was the first time I visited the bakery and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and two different sweets which were the Gavalanche brownie and the chess pie. I've not had the chance to eat them at the moment but I can tell you they smell delicious and I cant wait to sink my teeth into the meal!??
The owner is so nice and she answers any questions you ask. The shop is clean and comfy. The desserts are beautiful and delicious. I can tell the sandwiches are homemade. I love it there.
Save yourself some money and get a grocery store cake. There's very little chance it would be worse. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very nice. She was super helpful when I ordered a double-layered, chocolate, 1/4 sheet cake w/ buttercream frosting. She asked how many people we were feeding and said she could do a soccer theme. When her credit card machine wasn't working well, I happily paid her in advance via Venmo. I even added a few dollars because I wasn't sure if Venmo would charge a fee. I'm certain I said "double-layered" twice when I was ordering. I dislike single-layer cakes and do not understand why anyone would bother with them. When I sent the money over Venmo, I included a repeat of the request for lettering on the cake. I very clearly asked for the cake to say "Happy Birthday Lanny". It's typed out in Venmo. I can still see it. This cake does NOT say Lanny. It looks like it says Larry or Lamy. I completely missed the spelling when I picked up the cake though because I was completely taken aback by how thin the cake looked and the absurd soccer ball. I asked the woman that brought the cake out if it was double-layered and she said she didn't know. When the woman I suspect was the baker came out from the back, she assured me the cake was double-layered. She gave me some song and dance about using thin layers of cake. I can't believe she lied right to my face about the cake! She couldn't stop telling me about the soccer ball made of rice crispy treats and covered with chocolate ganache. I definitely didn't ask for rice crispy treats on the cake and that thing did have a thin layer of ganache, but it was mostly covered in fondant. That mess was so gross not even the kids would eat it. The frosting was probably the worst buttercream I have ever gotten from a small bakery. Even worse, the cake was dried out along the edges. The edges were hard and very unappetizing. I don't know about you, but I like the corners of the cake. I really just want the cake to be a delicious vessel for frosting. My corner went mostly into the trash. As did, the birthday boy's edge slice. In fact, more than half of the cake landed in the garbage. No adult finished a slice and even the kids agreed there was no reason to save any for later. I'll also add that when I ordered the cake I originally thought I would be picking it up around 2 PM, but I was told they were open late that night, so I said I would pick it up around 4 PM. I found myself near the bakery around 11 AM and called to see if the cake was ready, but it wasn't. No problem, but worth a shot. I went to pick up the cake at 3:45 PM, I was ignored for a few minutes as one employee helped a family that couldn't decide what they wanted and another employee just walked away from the counter. I was told my cake wasn't ready yet and asked to come back in 30 - 40 minutes. I came back in 25 minutes & the cake was finally ready. After taking a few bites of the cake I was even more confused by the delay. Sure tasted like the cake was baked when I'd ordered it, a week ago. She should have had plenty of time to frost it.
