After reading the reviews, I was excited about this place. But in reality, the food was only OK (the soup had like 2 little chunks of meat in it), it was overpriced, and the people working weren't that friendly. Also, could have done without the political propaganda at the door.

Just plain good food in a quiet, quaint atmosphere with vintage license plates and decor on the walls. Hours are limited to lunchtime M-F. Soup and/or sandwich specials are announced weekly. Potato bar and homemade desserts are usually available. Yum!

If you only have time to eat lunch at one establishment in Paris, TN, do yourself a favor and eat at Uncle Billy's.... You will never be disappointed...!
I had heard great things about this place so hubby and I went to try it. Now, we did get there at 1:20 pm, not realizing that they closed at 2:30, so we may have got the tail end of the food, but I expected the pork to have a little flavor. The pork "buttstick" meat was almost steamed and gray looking, not browned and flavorful. I took most of mine home and then cooked it for our next meal in a way that redeemed it. My husband did the same with his pork loin. The potato salad was a little cloying, with lots of shredded cheese in it, so I heated that up at home, improving it's flavor too. The people were nice enough, but no table service except to deliver our food. The decor is interesting, but not set up in a great way. Maybe I expected too much, but I was a little disappointed.
