We went on a Thurs night. We won't go again. There was a lady who cleaned tables, parked her tub cart behind me and dropped every dish into the tub. Bang! About 10 in from my head. They were busy but not full. She had plenty of time to clean tables. Afterward she would stand behind counter staring. When we went to pay, there was only one allowed (apparently) to work the register, waited 10 min. for her to come out of kitchen. The waitress was like on roller blades, flying...
Fish was just ok. Good hush puppies. Stay away from chocolate fried pie. The most vile thing I have tasted in a long time. Filling was just cocoa and sugar mixed together and not cooked. I spit out my first bite and threw the rest in the trash
I'm from Tennessee originally, but live in Arizona now days. Recently went home to visit the folks and had the good fortune to be introduced to this fine restaurant. I like catfish and hushpuppies, but I've actually been missing the boat for a long time - so good. Delicious food, a staff that seems like family, a comfortable local place.
