Such a great place to eat. Love the trays our food came on. Workers were cleaning constantly.

We stopped in for lunch in the middle of a solid day of riding the trails. The food was a little pricy but good. A lot of our crew enjoyed the tasting and bought tickets for the Penetentary tour.

Warden’s Table is the onsite restaurant serving up barbeque, burgers and more at the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary site. If you are driving off the beaten path to come tour the penitentiary, it’s worth a stop to grab some chow and experience eating behind bars!

Ribs were ok kind of flavorless defineatly needed the BBQ sauce.
Wings, and potato salad were the best part of this.

I honestly love this place. Everything is made from scratch. The coleslaw and potato salad were amazing. We will be going again very soon

Kid-friendliness: It's just a cool place. You eat in the dining hall and it's divides by steel bars. It's very fun and everyone there is super friendly.

After an interesting self guided tour of the prison, we had a very nice meal here. We split a smoked turkey plate with a pulled pork add-on. Meat was tasty and the sides were well prepared. Walk up ordering and pickup was quick. Would definitely return.

This restaurant was great. We toured the penitentiary and took our guides, George, advice on where to eat. He said you can’t go wrong with the on-site restaurant. He said 40 years ago he would never believe he’d be eating mouth watering smoked meat on this property and he was right. The meat was delicious, and the sides were great. Don’t sleep on this restaurant. If you’re touring Frozen Head or the penitentiary, stop by.

Parking: Plenty of parking at the location.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and offer plenty of kid friendly options.

Super cool place with a lot of history. Great food too. It was tough to find because there’s no sign outside indicating there’s a restaurant, but once you find it, it is nice.
