“We had breakfast one day at the outpost and dinner the next I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had eggs and pancakes and hashbrowns, and everything was wonderful. The staff is super friendly. The service is great. The food was abundant. We came back the next day for dinner and I had baby back ribs with a baked potato and corn on the cob and I can tell you that it was some of the best ribs I’ve ever eaten my wife had brisket and slaw, which was amazing and for dessert we had a piece of Colby pie, which was fantastic. Everybody in this restaurant is super friendly. It is extremely family oriented, and I would recommend it to anyone.”

“Be sure to add this place to your list if you're out on the river. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because there aren't enough people showing up here. They have TVs, pool tables, food, and of course beer. The awesome thing is they have a dock to where you can pull up in your boat, too. Pay these folks a visit. They deserve more service than they are currently receiving. It's a little hidden gem.”

“We traveled here for my SO annual birthday trip. Our plan was to depart on Sunday, in which we attempted to do. After hours of trying to navigate the roads that ended up being impassable due to winter storm fern, we desperately returned. The lodge was without power since that morning. They welcomed us back in with open arms and even apologized that the room wasn’t cleaned because house keeping could not make it in. We ended up stuck there for two days. The lodge, as every other hotel in the area, remained without power. The “boss” was present through the entire stay. He had the restaurant feed us soup and grilled cheese for lunch and dinner everyday, as guests had no other access to food(besides snacks in the room). He set up a warming area with space heaters hooked to a generator and even made sure there was entertainment for the kids. They delivered us extra blankets. They were always checking on us. The staff were comforting, concerned,and entertaining. We couldn’t have had a better experience during this scary time! We are from the gulf coast, so we were completely out of our element”

“I have been here a few times now and this is a great place for breakfast. I have not tried their lunch yet but, they have meatloaf on Wednesday’s so, today might be the day.

Overall, the breakfast is really good. The gravy on the biscuits is better than average and the service is really good. A true mom and pop place that you can return to and have good experiences each time.”

They have always done a fantastic job for us and this year was literally up to par. Candy takes great care of us and make sure our food comes out hot and on time. They serve 40 of us last night. Our Service was the best!”

I have tried their fried chicken pasta salad a few times and loved it every time, this time was no different. 😋 my family was very happy with what they got too! “This was our first visit here and it was awesome!! It is our new favorite local place. The Texas margarita was a bit spicy and delicious. The nachos were hands-down some of the best we’ve had. We met Jesus, who is part owner and he was super friendly to chat with. The prices are very reasonable, the beer is cold. Highly recommend.”
