I have visited Sunday House several times. The fish served on Friday's is delicious. The food is fresh, flavorful and well prepared. I haven't had a bad experience yet. The quality is consistent.

Service was great and the owner comes out with the food to make sure everything is good. The Chicken sandwich wash humongous and the cat fish was good. Theirs a lot of different sauces and the time there was a welcome break from the road. Will stop back again when driving through.

New to the area and was washing clothes nearby and purchased 2 chicken plates with sides and was really tasty! Will be returning!

After reading the rave reviews we were excited to try The Sunday House for breakfast. When we arrived the place was not ready for service. There were only 2 options for breakfast, and even what was on the menu had to be edited because they were focused more on putting together food for an event later in the day. To make things more difficult, the person running the counter did not seem to know what she was doing, and poor communication. All the drinks were bottled and the selection was small. No juice, just water and 1 soda option. Our food took longer then expected, there was no butter for toast, eggs were dry and bacon under cooked. The potatoes were good and the only think we all enjoyed about the meal. The owner visited all the tables and was delightful. It just seemed like they were all spread super thin. So over all our meals were sadly mediocre, but the manager was nice.I have heard the chicken is excellent at The Sunday House. So they may do better at the wings and lunch options?

(This may be a repeat because I might have erased the first review) We stopped here enroute to Knoxville from Missouri and had a delightful lunch! The ribs were perfectly prepared as well as the collard greens. Lots of fun and we received real down home cooking in the middle of a trip. everything was cooked to order and though the menu is not large, the food was just perfect! The owner is incredibly hospitable and could not have tried hard er to make sure that we were all comfortable great place —-a little gem in the midst of interstate roads!

Absolutely tasty! Worth a try! A great take on the fish sandwich. Southern home cooking. The little restaurant has a warm and welcoming feel. The owner is a treasure of pleasant view. Kind, warm and welcoming a place to relax and eat. Hours very so check or call.

Amazing…tasty…delightful!! READ CLOSELY!! This is a diamond hidden in the rough!! Stopped by today with my wife for lunch and had one of their cheeseburgers. I must say…it was one of the best we have ever eaten! Terri, the owner was an absolute blessing. So kind and passionate about her business. Take the time out to visit this place. Their hours are limited, but well worth it. Posted some pics….now you see it, now you don’t!! It was excellent!!!

My daughter & son in law introduced us to this amazing food. It is true old southern style cooking. We love it. Highly recommend.

This is a super southern down home kind of place. There's a long church pew with tables up to it for seating along one wall, and there's a Bible by the self serve coffee canister. Prepare to meet the owner when you go, she's incredibly hospitable and will want to talk to you. It almost doesn't feel like a restaurant, it's more like going over to a family members house. The wings are by far best in the area. Hot means hot though so don't order it if you can't handle it. There's a peach bbq sauce they make in house that'll change your life. Really super old school southern country style place that serves food that sticks to your ribs, and the kind of place that will recognize you when you come back.

Not sure if there was a new cook or if this places puts there own 5 star reviews on here. Stopped this morning on our way home to Ohio because of reviews an wanted home cooked meal. 5 things were only available on menu. 3 canned drinks to choose from. We all 3 ordered burgers cost was 40.00 an the burgers were so dry disnt get the extra toppings fries were mushy an tasted freezer burnt. Very disappointed not impressed wouldnt recommend
