First off let me state I don't normally leave reviews, but due to the situation the staff was under, it deserves it. I purchased carry out here on Friday night with my family. The building had two female employees working the ENTIRE store on Labor Day weekend mind you. Coming from management in a pizza place in my twenties, this should not be ran this way. This isn't a jab at the employees, the girls were very sweet and helpful and continually checked in on all guests waiting, the window, and the phones, while the manager was trying to keep some kind of foothold on the orders swarming in.

While I was waiting the two girls were being harassed on the phone constantly and having to leave there stations trying to keep up with orders the whole time I was there waiting for my pizzas. I even seen a shorter driver come from a delivery on 4 different occasions, come into the store, rush to wash his hands, and start making as many pizzas as he could to relieve the other employees dealing with constant issues from the phone and window.

If half the people placing orders knew what this staff had went through that night, they wouldn't have been so intolerable. It's not our fault the place was understaffed granted, but a little empathy goes a long way in today's standard. My heart goes out to the two girls and the driver that night trying to keep up with everything. Had any of us been in their shoes, majority would have just quit and let the store close that night, but they stood strong and still filled orders the best they could.

I am giving a 5 star strictly because of how friendly the staff that night was during the stress they were going through and the food they made was fantastic! I hope to visit again under a better situation.

Waited close to 2 hours for a pizza last night. Called up there and was told they were understaffed and to leave a bad review so here we are. Food was fine once it was delivered.

We ordered pizza April 8th and had it delivered. No big deal, right? WRONG! When the delivery driver attempted to “open” the gate on the back porch he pulled it towards himself SO HARD (it does have a few steps leading up to it so it opens away from the stairs like most other door/gates that are over steps) he pulled the whole gate AND hinges AND screws out of the post. I heard him so I went to grab the food and he places the gate back to look like nothing was wrong. At that time I was one week post C-section so I couldn’t move fast enough to catch him. I immediately called the store and was given a phone number for a lady named Cathy. I then immediately called Cathy and had to leave a voicemail. No big deal. Except Cathy has YET to call me back even after I’ve called several times. I did speak with the store manager who was very nice yet very unhelpful because I’ve not heard from her either. When I did speak with her she had excuses as to why Cathy had not called me back at that point. We paid $50.24 for shitty pizza that was cold upon arrival and a broken gate. If someone WHO WILL ANSWER THE PHONE please contact me that would be heckin swell.

We ordered delivery directly from the Papa John’s app, paid the delivery fee, and without warning, our order was handed off to DoorDash. The problem is, these drivers stack multiple orders at once, make several stops, and don’t use pizza warmers — so by the time our food arrived, it was cold and barely edible.

This isn’t how customer service used to be. There was a time when businesses cared about the quality of what they were delivering and the experience they were providing. Now it feels lazy and careless — passing the responsibility off to third-party drivers who don’t care if your food shows up fresh or not. If I wanted a gamble on cold pizza, I’d order from a delivery app, not from Papa John’s directly.

I was doing DoorDash. They messed up the order and ask me to Take the remix back to recipient. And didn't offer me any money.
For their mess up. So now.
I'm out $10 in gas. I would like my money back, please.

I managed a Papa Johns for years. Reading these comments I can only summize that they are having problems retaining employee's and training. It makes me sad. I have ordered from this one several times and the food was good. I watched them make my pizza and they don't even do hand tossing anymore. I could have made my pizza in half the time and toss it. I miss when John Schnatter was running Papa Johns. When you fire the founder, this happens.

1 hour delivery time was understandable. After 80 minutes papa tracker still showed “order received”. 2 phone calls and 25 minutes of hold time later I was told it was still not in the oven. Every time I try to give this location another try, they remind me of why I don’t order from Papa John’s in Portland. Save yourself the trouble.

You can order a pizza nearly an hour ago, you'll get there and they haven't even started on it. If you don't have the staff to make pizza you shouldn't be open.
