Maybe it's just us - I had the meatloaf, steamed brocoli & mashed potatoes. T The server didn't say the meatloaf & potatoes would be covered in gravy. Yuk! I'm a ketchup on meatloaf girl. The mashed potatoes were runny. My husband had nachos and the chips were burned. The service was fine but the food, not so much.

First two visits were excellent. Third visit on a Sunday night, they were understaffed for sure, and the food seemed to take a tumble. My favorite thing on the menu (my reason for going to Aubrey's), the sausage and pimento cheese appetizer, they've taken off the menu, which was heartbreaking! Luckily, I think the Papermill location still carries it. All told, I still think Aubrey's Powell is a good experience, and when not busy and understaffed it has been exceptional.

Always good. Consistency is what I like. We done in and do pick up often. I wish they had made it bigger though when they built the new one and made the bar area twice the size. I often go elsewhere because it is so packed.

Had the Cheddar Burger with sweet potato fries on Friday evening (Oct 27) I ordered it medium rare because that’s how I order my steak. Big mistake. Burger was not hot in the middle and I should have sent it back but was being treated to dinner as a thank you by some friends. That evening I was violently ill at 3:00am Extreme stomach pain, diarrhea and vomiting. My husband almost had to take me to the ER. We love Aubrey’s and they have a great reputation but even slightly undercooked ground beef should not cause this. Something in my dinner was contaminated, I’m assuming.

I haven't gotten a bad dish until now. I ordered the Reuben sandwich. There was no cheese on it, the corned beef was dry and tough, I had to try and cut it with a knife. The sauerkraut was dry and taste less. There was very little thousand Island dressing in a tiny cup. I was expecting a dark rye bread,, but got a very light bearly rye bread. And it cost $16.00 and came with a cup of soup.

We were seated promptly at a table with a lovely view of the countryside.. Our server, Emily was gracious and accomodating. Our steak was juicy and tender and perfectly cooked to order. Prices were as expected.

The hostess (not to be confused with the sever, she was polite) was not feeling it that day. My plate had a hair on underneath my food. I didn't mention it. I didn't know what correction to expect or would be offered. It wasn't in my food, just under it. it was very unappetizing, though.

We were in town from Asheville after the hurricane flooded much of our hometown. The staff and management were great, and the rattlesnake pasta was exactly what I needed after about 10 days of canned food. We'll definitely be back!
