Nice locally owned deli with fresh Craft Style bread made daily. The deli is conveniently located in Powell. Their whole sandwich size is big enough to feed two people. Southern Kitchen has a nice variety of classic and specialty sandwiches also tasty salads. Their current hours are only during the week...closed Saturday and Sunday. The staff is friendly and helpful with both dine in and take out service.

Chill little place, good service, not the best sandwich I've ever had, but definitely not bad! I'd eat here again and try something else. Do wish they had rye bread for the Reuben option. Potato salad was off the chain. Really liked that, overall really quite good and I'll definitely come back. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I've had better. By the way, the whole is HUGE, that's a big sandwich. If you're not that hungry, get a half. Heck I was hungry and that whole sandwich was enough for dinner too!

Each time the lady who appears to be the owner was not very nice to us at all.
We thought that the first time that maybe she did not feel well then we went to the second time and she was rude again and then we went to the third time she’s rude again and then we went in yesterday and guess what she was rude again.
The food is good. As a matter fact it’s fantastic. However, the service is not friendly. And that matters.
I grabbed a potato chip and the lady who appeared to be the owner shouted I’m gonna have to charge you for that and that’s perfectly fine and then today a construction worker went back up to refill his drink and she said that’ll be $.75 and then she realize how petty that sound, so she let it go.
When you enter the store or the shop, no one says hello and when you leave no one says goodbye thanks for coming. No one says anything so if you want to shop that serves really good food but the people are not friendly at all. This one’s for you, but if you expect some type of southern hospitality, the other take the SOUTHERN off the sign, because there’s no southern hospitality in this place whatsoever

THIS is the PLACE to eat in POWELL TN if you're looking for a "homemade" style sandwich that's been upgraded. The sandwiches are Huge. Love that! They SUPPORT MILITARY!! Love that too! Their twist on pasta salad is outstanding. They have it in a vinegar/sugar mix but I swear I tasted horseradish in there too. The pasta was a little under cooked but still delicious. I ordered the CLUB. I also got the banana pudding. It was a little too much of a banana flavoring vs natural banana for me not I ATE ALL OF IT. ? It was too die for. Love it here.
