Good food and friendly service. I found this place while working here. The tenderloin biscuit is good and the basic cheese burger with onion rings is awesome. You should give this place a try.

First time getting take out. Had the chili and a bacon cheese burger. The chili was awesome very mild, I personally like 4 alarm, but this chili was so very good. And the bacon cheese burger was one of the best I had in a long while. Service was great and very attentive. Scheduling allowing I will be a patron of this great small business and will be recommending them.

The food is good but the people are not. This incident happened a couple of weeks ago but I still can't get it out of my mind. I called to preorder a meal. The woman answered the phone and I asked a stupid question anyway she made a joke about the question I asked. To be honest I thought she was serious. She asked me to hold on. I guess she didn't think I would be able to hear her. She was talking about me to someone about our exchange She was laughing at me. I felt and still do feel humiliated. I will never go there again.

For the last three years the ever lovely Velvet Jones has asked her Rock Star husband to "Take me to Spanky's" every time they've driven by. For one reason or another, that never happened...until TODAY! As Ms. Jones said in her sultry voice "Take me to Spanky's," Mr. Rock Star made a left turn into their parking lot. Finally! Would it live up to what Velvet was hoping for??? The answer is a resounding yes!!! Don't let the outside fool you--once inside, Spanky's is a charming roadside diner that is immaculately clean and comfortable. The menu is your standard Southern fare. Everything from a full breakfast menu, to fried chicken, beans and cornbread, a variety of sandwiches and burgers and let's not forget their homemade desserts. On this day Ms. Jones and Mr. Rock Star had a burger--both were five stars. Mr. Rock Star also wanted to introduce Velvet to more of his Southern heritage and ordered a side order of beans and cornbread. What Ms. Jones would like to tell all you non-Southern people reading this review is that if you've never tried beans and cornbread, this is something that should be on your bucket list--it is wonderful. The burgers were large and tasty with very fresh lettuce, onions and tomatoes. The fries were crinkle cut and crispy. The coleslaw was magnificent (yes, magnificent). At the end of our meal Mr. Rock Star couldn't leave without trying the no sugar added apple pie (nsa due to his diabetes of course), and while Ms. Jones is not typically a fan of pie, she did sneak a bite and it too was wonderful. Both Velvet and Mr. Rock Star wondered why they had waited so long to stop in and neither had a good answer...but BOTH are planning their return for breakfast. Spanky's is SPANKTacular!
