There aren't many foods that I'm a tough critic on BUT I do have high expectations when it comes to BBQ. That being said.. JD'S EXCEEDED them all! The business itself is basically the poster child for a "hole in the wall" restaurant. By that I'm saying if you sneeze at the wrong time then you're driving right past it & will miss out on what I consider the best BBQ in the area by a long shot. Best BBQ in the area....! Always delicious....the sides are terrific as well. Great beans, great slaw...the sauce is really good too....in a land of lots of good BBQ places, this is a standout!!
Wonderful little pit stop if you're passing through don't miss it especially if you're hungry. You won't regret it! Family owned and operated and it's a little jewel in the middle of nowhere. Just enough room to park get your food and go. There's also a convenience store right next door.It's on the hilltop so use extra caution when pulling out of the location. A lot of dump trucks and semi tractor trailers travel through that area especially...
