Small town, cute place. I don’t believe they were expecting how busy they would be for breakfast on Labor Day. Definitely needed more staff, had to wait extended time for everything. Would have given a five for the service due to effort and politeness however a regular came in and was given his order prior to other tables with orders in. On our way out of the State Park and wae we’re very hungry. Googled restaurants near by and came across this sweet spot. The staff was soooooo sweet and welcoming. Food was yummy and had that homemade taste! Don’t hesitate; Highly recommend!
If you’re ever at Rock Island State Park or around the area, make sure to stop by Renea’s Kitchen. Friendly, fast service, food was delicious with good portion sizes and really good prices. The fried pickles were amazing, bacon cheeseburger and onion rings were delicious, and the mint chocolate chip milkshake for dessert was perfect (my family said the homemade pie was great too).
