Went here for my birthday cake! 1st time I ordered a nice cake for my birthday. Im turning 39. I asked for a 10-inch cake on the bottom and vanilla. She made a mistake and did an 8 inch on the bottom and 6 on the top. Also, she said she gave me chocolate on the bottom instead of vanilla. We all like vanilla and not chocolate. She got overwhelmed, she said, and got the bottom part of someone else's cake. I ordered about a month in advance, maybe over. I did change the date to the 17th, which she said she could do. I have to work on my birthday. The decoration was beautiful & what I wanted to a T. She did a discount, which was nice. It was still 123. I like it, but I won't be ordering from them in the future. It was very beautiful, though and fed us. I had fewer guests than anticipated so needed less cake anyway. No worries. Still happy. 🙂

Sweet Liberty has been showing up in my TikTok feed, so I knew I wanted to try them the next time I visited Rogersville. The building and decor are so charming, and the staff is friendly. The cookies all looked great, but they fell short on flavor. They are not terrible, but they did not provide me with the wow factor I was hoping to get because I do love a great cookie. The best one in the five flavors I purchased was the strawberry, and the chocolate was a close second. If you are looking for a cookie on the less sweet side, then this is your spot. Some of the cookies were on the dry side, especially the key lime. Perhaps I picked the wrong time of day (early evening) to visit, and I do wish this business well. I may return and try different flavors, but I would not go back for any of the cookies I tried.

We were visiting family and decided to drive through Rogersville when we drove by Sweet Liberty. We decided to bring some cookies to our family. It was so cute inside and offered way more than cookies! They had ice cream, shaved ice, cookie bars and macarons. We only came in for cookies and did walk out with a dozen but also tried everything else but the macarons only because we needed to show some restraint. My son had carrot cake ice cream and my oldest tried the shaved ice. Both were thrilled. The cookies and bars were a huge hit with our family and we tried several flavors. While the boys were getting their treats I looked at some small books of pictures of cakes and cookies the bakery had made. The talent was incredible. My only regret is that we live in Ohio or I would definitely use Sweet Liberty for future celebrations! Thank you for a wonderful memory and delicious treats. This is a must visit if you are in the area or anywhere nearby.

I have ordered decorative cookies from them when they were in the old building (she does EXCELLENT WORK ON DECORATING), and they were very dry and not very flavorful at all. But we got them for decorative purposes so no big deal! I was very hopeful that I could try the other desserts and be able to like them! However, I’ve been trying to find at least one good cookie and I can’t :(. I’ve tried the holiday ones, the cake sandwiches, the regular chocolate chip, and each time it leaves me very disappointed. And I HATE that :(. I don’t want to not like this place cause it’s awesome and I want to have a cool dessert place to hang out at! I will say that their ice cream is really good! I will probably stick with that in the future! Now I am one person with one opinion, so take it for what you will. But I so want this place to improve their flavors so that I can enjoy their desserts all the time. We bought 2 red velvet cupcakes on Saturday and this was the driest cupcake that I have ever tasted. The icing was so sweet that you couldn’t even eat it. So unfortunately after spending almost $11 on 2 cupcakes they both got thrown away. Based on this experience I will not be going back and do not recommend.
