The waitress was responsive and answered my questions. The restaurant was cool (on a very hot evening) and dim which was kind of romantic.
I ordered the chicken parmigiana bites…and they were 3 chicken strips with a very little cheese and a side of marinara sauce to dip. The positive is they were fresh and hot…but underwhelming for their price of $11 (I think?).
For the main course I order the Bourbon chicken wrap and fries. The wrap was on a sun dried tomato tortilla…inside…green leafy lettuce, bland grilled chicken with a couple of what looked to be red bell peppers….and then the bourbon sauce which tasted like maple syrup with a dash of bourbon. It was bland except for the sweetness of the sauce, it didn’t taste like there was seasoning on the chicken. A little remoulade sauce or chipotle mayo would’ve made this fantastic.
There is so much potential here but I was not impressed.
All of the food was fresh and hot…and the fries were the best part. They were a thick cut Cajun/seasoned fry which I’ve never had.
Maybe I should’ve ordered pasta? Maybe next time.
