We had breakfast one day at the outpost and dinner the next I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had eggs and pancakes and hashbrowns, and everything was wonderful. The staff is super friendly. The service is great. The food was abundant. We came back the next day for dinner and I had baby back ribs with a baked potato and corn on the cob and I can tell you that it was some of the best ribs I’ve ever eaten my wife had brisket and slaw, which was amazing and for dessert we had a piece of Colby pie, which was fantastic. Everybody in this restaurant is super friendly. It is extremely family oriented, and I would recommend it to anyone.

We ate here yesterday with my off roading group and the food was absolutely delicious.They severs did a amazing job also.I will defiantly be back soon.You will not be disappointed if you visit this amazing place.

Was excited to try The Outpost, we were a group of 2 adults and 2 teens. We had a short wait, were seated in the furthest corner of the restaurant although plenty of tables were available. No big deal. Our server reluctantly took our order and we never saw her again. Had to ask the server who brought our food for salad bowls, refills and the check. Once again they were not busy, the lunch rush was over. I did mention the poor service at the checkout and did not make a big deal of it, her tip was in accordance to service provided. I did notice a few groups staring us down repeatedly, never thought a thing about it until my granddaughters friend mentioned it in the car on the way home. One of the girls with us is a 15 year old girl who just happened to be black and is my granddaughters best friend. I realize now that this is probably why we had this bad service. I have shopped in the gift shop several times and had multiple take out orders in the past, all with great service until today. This was my last time spending money at a restaurant that has such bad customer service and clearly displayed a racist attitude towards our group. Do better.

We had breakfast at the Outpost headed home from Pickwick. It was very good and our server was phenomenal. I did not catch her name but she has red hair and is very pretty. We were very happy with our food, the service, and the price point. I'm looking forward to returning.

Flavors were all good. Put portions were small. The brisket sandwhich was more bun than brisket. It would have been good with enough meat. Kids plate is one tender. It’s large but still not enough. The fries are sliced potatoes deep fried. They tasted good. With more in a serving I would take it 3 to 5. I would get the brisket plate next time.

This place was just across the dam from the cabin we were staying at. During the weekend this place gets BUSY. We stopped Monday for lunch and there were minimal people. We were seated immediately and our drinks and appetizer order taken quickly. We ordered the southwest egg rolls and cheese curds for appetizers, which both were awesome. We also ordered a double cheese burger, brisket pita, and riverboat chicken. My son stated his burger was one of the best he has ever had. My brisket in my pita was phenomenal. The pita was thin and constantly wanted to fall apart though. My girlfriend's chicken was very good as well. The nearby stores were closed except the attached bait shop, but there was a quick wooden trail to walk off a small portion of what we ate
