All was good. The grilled chicken portion size & seasoning was spot on. Didn't have time to stay for dessert; they were kind enough to let me take the homemade brownie that is used in their hot fudge cake to go, and it too was spot on. Definitely hope to return!
Mahi Mahi was very dry, very little seasoning and no flavor, presented poorly in the center of a plate by itself, no rice bed. Just very plain and flavorless. Chicken Alfredo was a decent portion and my kid liked it as well as the Mac cheese. Other child liked the ravioli but very skimpy portion for the price. $53 for me a two kids. Maybe I'll try something different next time around but all in all not impressed. $20 fish entree should be better than that and that "loaded"...
My husband and I have been in a quest to support local family owned restaurants and stop eating at the large chain restaurants in Jackson. We have been searching out different places to try each week within an hour of our home. Tonight we decided to try out Cafe Magnolia in Scotts Hill and we were not disappointed.I was a little hesitant when we pulled up to the small cafe on the corner at the 4-way stop but when we walked in we found the place to be clean and had a homey atmosphere....
