The best option for food at Wilderness at the Smokies, and still leaving a lot to be desired. 4-star review is compared to other resort options; I'd suggest picking something off resort.

Service at lunch was slow but the waitress was sweet.

Fries were excellent. Philly Cheesesteak appeared to be a mashed up cheeseburger on a roll; good enough.

The service was decent. Only problem about the service is that it takes a while to get your food or refills in drinks. Sweet tea isn't sweet, at all. 3 different people in my group got sweet tea and complained that it wasn't sweet at all. The chicken Alfredo had absolutely no flavor and we just sent it back. The Cajun steak looks like a TV dinner and taste like one too. The CHICKEN Ceasars wrap had NO CHICKEN and no flavor. It was all lettuce and just a little bit of sauce and cheese. You couldn't even call it sauce, more like oil with herbs.

Bartender makes the weakest and most expensive drinks I’ve ever seen. Leave the resort if you want drinks.

They don’t even have a complementary breakfast for how expensive these rooms are and there’s no complementary coffee the food was subpar and the service. Well there wasn’t nobody.

We had planned on dining in but we were told it’s take out only. We were also told prior to our visit that children 8 and under eat free per adult meal and when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that wasn’t true. They also charge a 15 percent fee just for ordering the food. Our total for 2 cheeseburger meals and 3 kids meals was $85. Another thing that bothered me was when I had asked if they had a kids menu I could look at, I was not given one and was just told they have chicken tenders. They should really update their website and menu. The food wasn’t too bad just really overpriced.

Wait staff was very nice and handled our large party with out any issues! They are also great with food allergies and have a binder with all of the products for labels for all ingredients and other allergy statements! Prices were reasonable and location convenient when staying at the resort.

You can do much worse on the Wilderness property. It’s a basic bar menu, but service was attentive and portions generous. We had a huge burger, wings, chicken wrap, fries…and it was all good.

If I could give them negative stars I would. The bartender couldn’t make a good ice water if you wanted one let alone any alcohol drink. The steak tasted like it was made in an easy bake oven and there chicken in the chicken Alfredo looked and tasted like something that had already came out of a person. The wings were as dry as a grandmas hoo-haw.
