Do not miss this out of the way place. Excellent, home cooked food, done the right way. It's not big,so there may be a wait. The decor is quirky and in line with the Cajun seafood theme. Locals come here, so you know it's good stuff.

This is the place to go, we’ve been coming to the mountains for over 50 years and this was our best find. Catfish were big, meaty and breading perfect and cooked perfect with perfect crisp . Red beans and rice were fantastic, gumbo spot on. You can’t go wrong with the boudin balls, great flavor. Here for a week and going back.

Great local spot away from the crowds. I have only eaten here once but the Boudin Balls were definitely the best. Service was very friendly despite the lunch rush. I would definitely when I'm in the area.

By far our favorite hidden gem on your family vacation. Food was spectacular! Great vibes and incredible staff makes you feel like apart of the family. Pawpaw's Catfish is perfection, coleslaw the best I have ever tasted, and their hush puppies wow! Don't sleep on tge crab cakes either. The whole menu is made with love, your taste buds will thank you. We will continue to sing praise of our experience at Pawpaw's and tell everyone visiting the area, you must stop in and experience the authenticity of New Orleans cuisine at this local family friendly smokey mountain gem!
