Nice space. The chef was great and the activity was fun in terms of socializing, but it was misrepresented when buying the tickets. The hands on cooking was actually a delegation of the tasks to different teams, so we did not get hands on experience with everything that was on the lesson menu, and most importantly we ate from what everyone cooked. Had I known I would be eating food prepared from other people's bare hands, I wouldn't have taken the lesson. My company and I found this gross.
Edit: there was no protective equipment, no gloves, just aprons. In the description it is not clear that we would be eating food literally touched by others whose hygiene and health background is unknown.

The BEST fudge in Gatlinburg!

Cannot recommend this experience enough, cooking is my passion and learning new things is a close second. My husband and I took this class to learn more about Appalachian cooking and culture and we were not disappointed! Chef Stephanie does a great job teaching her ways and telling heartwarming stories around food and growing up on a farm in KY. The food we made was delicious and this will definitely be a stop every time I am in the area!

This is a must-include on any trip to the Smokies! Our family visited as part of a recent trip to the Smoky Mountains and took a class to celebrate a birthday. We cooked Fried Green Tomatoes, Bacon Jam, and Blackberry Cobbler—wow, were they all delicious! Stephanie and her husband are the perfect representatives of Appalachian hospitality—they shared stories about their families, history, and culture in Appalachia. Stephanie was so personable and engaging—our time just flew by. And her recipes were perfectly tailored to reflect the culture, taste amazing, and ensure we’ll share these meals with our families and friends. Could not possibly recommend any place more. Thank you, Smoky Mountain School!

Participated in a cooking class while on a bachelorette trip. It felt as if we were home visiting our family and aunt Stephanie was teaching us to cook. Wonderful hospitality and very patient! I highly recommend this!

Stephanie, Katie, and Shawn are amazing!! We made the Marry Me Chicken, Parmesan roasted sweet potatoes, and vanilla cake. It was all delicious! Such a memorable experience, especially because of the kind, Southern hospitality of the staff!

Wow! The fudge is so soft and creamy! Not dry or crumbly at all. We love fudge and have tried other stores along the strip and this is by far the best!! No doubt this will be the ONLY place we buy fudge when we're visiting Gatlinburg. Mom and Pop store and Pop was in the back making more! Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!

OMG the fudge was absolutely delicious!! The guy in the store who makes the fudge himself was extremely friendly, nice, and informative. The unique thing about this fudge for me is the way the textures are used- The Tiger and Bear Butter have real peanut butter, and the seasonal Easter fudge flavor Bunny Trail had those little chocolate eggs and crunchy sprinkles!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!! ❤❤

I recently visited while waiting for a table at a local restaurant. The store was adorable and the man working (assuming the owner?) was so kind. All that said- the Fudge…..it is SO good. I honestly don’t even really like fudge that much. I buy it purely for nostalgia. But this fudge was absolutely amazing. I can’t stay out of it. I came online to see if I could order more. It doesn’t appear that I can but I could leave a review about it so here we are. Don’t debate if you need it or not…Just Buy the fudge. You’re welcome in advance :)

We highly recommend taking a cooking class with family and/or friends. My husband, sister and I had a great time and have a new appreciation for Appalachian cooking. Everything we made was delicious. Thank you Stephanie!

Popped in for ice cream rather than going into busy pigeon forge and while the selection was small it was super tasty. The gentleman helping us was really friendly and kind. We enjoyed our evening treat on the beautiful porch enjoying the spring weather and quiet property. The restaurant connected was busy and smelled delicious but we'll have to come back for that.
