I can’t say enough about our experience at The Appalachian this evening. Both, our food and service, were outstanding. If you are looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion or just a really nice evening out, this is the place to be. Our waiter, Sam, was very attentive and so nice. We’ve been to the area many times over the years, but this was our favorite meal by far. 5 stars
So disappointed. We took my wife's cousin and her husband out to the Appalachian for their 50th anniversary. We told them they'd love the place. I like to support local businesses that aren't big chains. The Appalachian can do better. Service was good, the atmosphere is welcoming and they have nice artwork displayed. Having said all of that, my disappointment started with the menu. They don't do a lot of different things, most of the offerings are steak....
This whole experience has been beyond incredible. The food was perfection and then some. We were sat down at 5pm and our food was out and ready around 20-30 minutes later!! The water was ready to go RIGHT AWAY which to me is a massive pet peeve for a restaurant to not have beverages ready asap. The chef came up to us, gave us tidbit information about the food and how they prepare it. Highly recommended.
