Racist. Was chased after going to the bathroom because I dont have white sin. FIND GOD! No racist will be in heaven. News flash, God is not white. Hope that helps.
Loved the chicken pot pie and fried green tomatoes!!! Best diner food I've ever had. Staff was so sweet and welcoming even though they were super busy and looked under staffed. :)

I am pretty sure this is a hit or major miss place. Reviews were mostly good so we gave it a try. I wish we hadn't wasted the money. Our server was nice and attentive though.

Stopped in for breakfast on a rainy weekday. Restaurant seemed somewhat dirty (ketchup container and what housed it) but staff seemed okay, just a bit rushed. Wasn't asked if we needed refills or offered to get us a water after we finished our juice. Food was edible, but our order was messed up (forgot bacon and gave biscuits instead of toast, eggs ordered medium and were hard).

The atmosphere is nice, has a 1950s theme. The strawberry milkshake and peach sweet tea were very good but the food was horrible. My wife got a mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings and I got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. my burger tasted super salty, and plain. fries just tasted like stale or were a little cold, I just ate three fries that’s how bad it was. couldn’t finish none of it. My wife said her burger tasted like she was eating egg shells, onion rings had no taste. The burgers were very plain and looked like they were just thrown on the stove real quick and put together like the cook didn’t even care. it was a horrible experience overall. The server was rude and acted like we were a bother. Place was empty and I can see why. Never coming back!

Closed early even with the hours posted on the door on paper
The food was stellar. Our waiter was a pleasure and the 50's decor... so fun 😁

Stopped here for breakfast on a whim. The server was very nice. Promt seating and getting drinks. The food came out hot and was fresh with good flavor. Would recommend if you are looking for a good breakfast at a very reasonable price.

Restaurantji Recommends
Eeeeeyyyuuucckkkk. Do not recommend. The bathroom is disgustingly nasty. The whole restaurant is just old and grimy. We sat where we could see in the kitchen. That didn’t help. The food was yuck. Just no. Never again.

Very dirty. In the booth seats were old food. Waitress was rude. Pancakes were gummy and gross. Rueben was subpar. There are so many restaurants in the area. Pretty sure any other one you choose will be better.

I had the 1/2 pound Angus burger and it was the best tasting burger I have possibly ever had! Well worth the visit and if I'm ever back in town I will definitely be coming back!

Having lived on the East coast all of our lives we had to try The Diner during our week of visiting that part of Tennessee. It was nothing like our lifetime of experiences in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. We chose one breakfast and one lunch item to sample their offerings. Both were average at best and the inside of the diner was tired and not kept very clean. Food was Sysco to table with no attempt to make it personalized to “The Diner” so we would have been better served at a fast food drive-through.
