Beef tartare appetizer was a big winner for the dishes we had here. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and sweet potato accompaniment was excellent. Wife had trout which was just as delightful, though somewhat heavy on the oil. The old fashioned cocktail was very balanced. For fine dining, this spot is certainly reliable on flavor, though the service was a little slow and flat in character than this price point necessitates.
It was great!! I got Tavern Steak. It came a little rare but crispy bark! So good! Came with little potatoes. Delicious olive oil & seasonings & some type of leafy lettuce they call escarole. I added a smidge of pepper and it was just awesome. We also ordered a half loaf of sourdough bread and it was fantastic. They bring out chili olive oil with herbs & seasonings to dip & it is to die for. Wife got homemade tagliatelle (flat pasta noodles) and they were light...
This place is next level. The food is full of flavor and so well prepared. We sat at the bar and Victoria took fantastic care of us. We had a bottle of wine and lots of small plates. But the dessert was the show stopper. The peach cobbler and the vanilla soft serve were the perfect combo to finish of this meal. We will definitely be back.
