Lumière

We shared a lovely evening here with our old neighbor/dear friend of many many years with whom we shared too many wonderful meals to count - most of which were prepared by her dearly departed husband. So we know good food! Thus our evening at Lumière was even more special. We started with the grilled oysters (OH MY!) and a beautiful cheese plate, and followed that with the amazing amazing (can I add a third “amazing”!?) roasted chicken, unbelievable “grilled” beets and broccoli (that beautiful pizza oven!), a couple of perfect wines. To go along with the superb (and very reasonably priced, I might add) Country French meal, we had the loveliest server, who took care of us like we were family. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in the area or visiting! Thank you, Lumière owner, chef and staff!!

Lumière is a gem, with a great neighborhood bistro vibe, and it was absolutely hopping on a Friday night! I’m so grateful that they have a delicious, thoughtful vegan entrée on the permanent menu, as well as a range of creative cocktails and mocktails. As a vegan with a partner who refrains from alcohol, we were totally out of luck on the mountain if we wanted to get a ‘nice’ dinner out. Lumière saved the day! They may have a few wrinkles to iron out as they build up and train their staff, but that’s to be expected with a growing restaurant. And I’d love to see another vegan-friendly option, but in the meantime I’ll eat that awesome ratatouille to my heart’s content. This restaurant is an incredible addition to the area — I won’t hesitate to make the journey over from Tracy City. I look forward to seeing what they whip up with the summer’s bounty of local produce! Santé!
